Big Brother 2013: Emma Willis confirmed as new host

Big Brother 2013 will see Emma Willis hosting, after Brian Dowling was axed, it’s been confirmed. According to The Sun last month, Channel 5 bosses offered his job to Emma Willis – who currently hosts spin-off Big Brother’s Bit On The Side – in a bid to recapture the ‘glamour’ and ‘buzz’ of its former presenter Davina McCall. 

The newspaper’s insider said: “Brian has been a great host but Emma is seen by channel chiefs as a true successor to Davina. They’re talking to her now about taking over the role from the summer. “Like Davina when she hosted the show, Emma’s young, a mum of two, and very glamorous. The audience love her on BBBOTS and execs want to capitalise on that.” 

Today Channel 5 confirmed the news in a press release. Emma said: “I am thrilled to have been offered this job. I’m a fan first and foremost so to be able to front the show is going to be amazing. Roll on the summer!” 

Channel 5′s director of programmes Ben Frow said: “Emma is a natural on screen, she’s made the spinoff show her own and now the time is totally right for her to step up. I know she’ll take Big Brother to the next level and I can’t wait to see her dealing with the housemates both famous and soon to be famous. “I’d also like to thank Brian Dowling for doing such a sterling job over the last two years. He’s been a big part of the success of the show and I wish him the very best.” 
Big Brother is expected to return to our screens in June with its fourteenth civilian edition.

Korean Pop sensation Psy’s New song to release on12th April

South Korean rapper Psy plans to follow his Gangnam Style YouTube megahit with a single called "Gentleman" and a new dance, but is playing coy about everything else ahead of the song's release, which was moved up a day to April 12.
The song will be available for Korean fans then, but Psy will perform it in public for the first time at an April 13 concert.

"The new song is extremely fun and ... what I can tell you is the song title is 'Gentleman'", Psy told local television late on Monday."I can't tell you about the dance but all Koreans know this dance - but (those in) other countries haven't seen it", Psy added, hinting at a takeoff on a traditional dance."There is still more than a week left before the concert so we can't say (the title) will be unchanged," manager Hwang Kyu-wan told Reuters.

Psy has told his fans to turn up sporting white clothes at the upcoming concert, and posed in a variety of white garb himself, including a spacesuit and a bridal gown.
But the singer also said that stardom has taken a toll. In late March he tweeted a photo of himself covering his face at a recording studio, calling it the "pain of creation".

Madonna's daughter Laurdes dating Timothee Chalamet

Pop diva Madonna's teenage daughter Lourdes is reportedly dating Homelands tar Timothee Chalamet. The 16-year-old is said to have struck up a romance with Chalamet after meeting him at the Fiorello H LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in New York, where they are both pupils, reported New York Post.

"It's common knowledge at the school that the pair are dating," a source said.

Indian Idol Junior: Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal-Shekhar to judge Junior Singers

The most popular musical show Indian Idol is back with a new twist. Indian singer Shreya Ghoshal is all set to judge reality show Indian Idol Junior 2013 along with music composer duo Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani. Indian Idol has given many promising singers to the entertainment industry and after the success story of the reality show we will now witness kids between five to fifteen years going through the grind. 
Kids from all across India including Non Resident Indians try their luck to impress the trio with their singing talent.The judges are travelling to various part of India and auditioning young singers for the show in Mumbai. 

Karan Wahi and Mandira Bedi will be hosting this season of Indian Idol Junior. Shreya Ghoshal is a big name in playback singing now but she herself came to the forefront as a child singer through a similar contest ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’.

In 2000 she won as an adult, and ever since, there has been no looking back for the melodious singer. Spotted by Bollywood Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali on the show, Shreya was given her first break in his 2002 release ‘Devdas’. 

Bollywood buffs have swayed to the tunes of ‘Dola Re’ by Shreya and she has also won a National Award for the song ‘Bairi Piya’, from the same movie. ‘Radha from ‘Student of the Year’ is her latest hit. 

Shreya has also judged shows like ‘Star Voice of India - Chhote Ustaad’ and ‘X Factor India’. However, music producer Anu Malik who has judged all the six seasons of the adult version will not be seen in this one. Trick or treat?
