Chetan Bhagat’s 'Revolution 2020' to come out as Movie

After Four Fiction of Popular Author Chetan Bhagat came as a Movie Now Chetan Bhagat has once again teamed up with Disney UTV, this time for the screen adaptation of his latest bestseller Revolution 2020, to be directed by Raj Kumar Gupta. The novel, which revolves around the lives of childhood friends — Gopal, Raghav and Aarti — will be made into a drama film with strong roles for the three main leads.

"It is an intense love story set against the backdrop of corruption in the education sector, which affects millions across the country. I can't wait for the three characters to be cast and brought to life," says the author, who earlier collaborated with the production house on Kai Po Che.

Speaking about his decision to direct the movie, Raj Kumar says, "When I read the novel, I was quite moved. It is a very simple and heartfelt story about being young, being confused, being in love, getting corrupt... I am looking forward to writing and directing this book for the screen."
Siddharth Roy Kapur, Managing Director, Studios, Disney UTV, adds, "We are excited to have played the catalyst in bringing Chetan and Raj Kumar together. Chetan had shared the draft of his book with us even before it was published and we instantly reacted to its cinematic potential. It has an incredibly well-graphed storyline and the issues it deals with are those that today's youth will instantly relate to and identify with."
The screenplay of the film is currently underway and is expected to go on floors mid-2014.

Bigg Boss 7 Elimination: Rajat Rawail became second to be Eliminated from Bigg Boss 7

After struggling with his health throughout his two-week stay in the Bigg Boss house, Rajat Rawail became the second contestant to get eliminated from the seventh season of the show tonight.

Rajat's exit came as a relief not only to him but also his fellow contestants, who were worried about his wellbeing after he had a meltdown on the Colors show last week.

"I am happy with my eviction as I was missing my daughter and wife. I am the only contestant in the house who has a kid. I entered the show with a mission to make everyone laugh and get a good physique but due to my bad health I was unable to give my best on the show," Rajat told PTI after his eviction.

During the first week, Rajat, who played Salman Khan's friend Tsumani in Bodyguard, had a decent stay in the house and took active participation in the household chores and performed all the tasks diligently.

But, things started getting bad for him as he suffered health problems.The house in the reality show, where all 14 contestants are holed up for three months without any connectivity with the outside world, has been divided into heaven and hell segments under the new format. Rajat said he found it tough to fit in.

"I feel the format of the show is tough this time. Even the tasks are tough and it's really impossible for a person like me to be a part of the show," Rajat said.

Sridevi, Meryl Streep to star in Hollywood film

Screen diva Sridevi is reportedly in talks to share the screen space with Oscar-winning actress Meryl Streep in a Hollywood film.Tentatively titled "Cowboys And Indians", the film will be helmed by Amy Redford, who is the daughter of Hollywood actor-director Robert Redford.

Sridevi's manager Punkej Kharbanda has confirmed that the actress has been approached for the role but didn't divulge any further details."Yes the news is true and we are happy to have received communication about such a prestigious project but we are not at liberty to say anything more at this point of time," Kharbanda said in a statement.

Sridevi, 50, was last seen in Gauri Shinde's "English Vinglish", which successfully marked her comeback to Bollywood after 15 years.

Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green 'thrilled' to be expecting another baby boy.

Bigg Boss 7:Salman to invite Shahrukh on Bigg Boss 7

Actor Salman Khan is ready to take one more step towards becoming friends with Shah Rukh Khan.

When a media person asked the actor at the Bigg Boss press conference if he would like to invite Shah Rukh Khan on the show, the actor promptly replied, "Why not? We met at the Iftar party and how long can all this go on? It has to end somewhere.''

According to certain sections of the media, Shah Rukh Khan is apparently still not comfortable talking about his meeting with Salman Khan at Baba Siddiqui's Iftar party and has ducked that question during most of his press conferences.

However, SRK opened up to the media and was quoted saying in IANS, "I will be very honest. Whether it's my relationships, friendships, personal aspects, I've never dignified it by talking about it in the public and I would like to keep it like this".

Salman on the other hand remarked on Shah Rukh Khan breaking all records at the box office and Ranbir Kapoor working hard and scoring hits at the box office.

Salman Khan, who will be hosting Bigg Boss 7 which starts from September 15, said that he had no role to play in the selection of inmates but the producers do take his opinion after the list is final.

BIGG BOSS 7:Salman Khan to take Rs 5 Crore per episode of Bigg Boss 7

 What do you expect how much does some normal bollywood star take from a Movie?Bollywood star Salman Khan is riding very high these days, the 47-year-old actor is set to become the highest paid actor on television with a salary of Rs.130 crore.

Ekta Kapoor to produce Azharuddin's biopic?

Be it athlete Milkha Singh or boxer Mary Kom, the love for sports is growing day by day in the film fraternity. As, now according to reports Bollywood producer Ekta Kapoor is keen to produce a film on former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin.   The former captain is the latest to join the long list of personalities whose biopics are currently under production.

IIFA Awards 2014:IIFA 2014 travelling to US for the first time

The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards is all set to make its maiden trip to the US by hosting the 2014 edition at the Tampa Bay in Florida.

"We are extremely excited to announce that IIFA 2014 will travel to US. We had been working on America for the last three years with various cities like Las Vegas, Chicago and New York," Andre Timmins, Director, IIFA and Wizcraft, told PTI in an exclusive interview.

The new venue aims to cash in on the huge fan base Indian cinema has in the US. "The maximum grosser of Indian cinema after India is America. We wanted to go to America because the city can transport what we do on ground. So, on that aspect we are happy that Tampa Bay is on," he added.

In the last 14 years, IIFA has travelled to four continents including Africa, Europe, Asia and North America.
Andre said that IIFA 2014 will be grand as it will try to connect with the Indians residing in the city.
"It is going to be extra-ordinary as we are going to convert the baseball stadium into a cricket stadium and there will be a match between celebrities and cricketers during award ceremony. IIFA rocks venue is about 21,000 people and main arena has the sitting capacity of 35,000 people. We will connect to all Gujarati and other Indian communities there," Andre said.The award ceremony will also see performances from noted Hollywood personalities.
Barbados, Las Vegas, Chicago and Johannesburg were other contenders to host the next edition of the Bollywood extravaganza.

Hrithik Roshan undergoing brain surgery today

Fans of Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan are praying for the actor, who is currently undergoing brain surgery in Mumbai.It has been confirmed on his upcoming film, ‘Krrish 3's’, official Twitter account that the surgery is taking place at Hinduja Hospital.

It states: “Hrithik is spotted at Hinduja Hospital. The surgery is happening through scopy method right now [sic].”According to reports, the endoscopy is already underway.

Media reports are quoting father Rakesh Roshan as confirming his son has a clot in brain membrane and is suffering from a skull subdural haematoma.

In layman terms, a haematoma occurs when blood clots collected in the subdural space between two of the meninges that form the protective lining around the brain.A haematoma can occur due to a serious head injury. But if the condition is minor, surgical patients are known to make a full recovery.

Patients are also monitored postop for infections or meningitis.The actor, who has been out of the news of late, despite his superhero film ‘Krrish 3’ readying for release in a few months, broke the silence over his condition in a cryptic, yet emotional message on his official Facebook account in the early hours.

Roshan said: “We all know that we create a life of joy using the power of our mind. I’ve had the privilege of creating wonders with this amazing gift given to us called the brain. 

“Occasionally one must look within and realise its value. It gives us the power to see, hear, touch, smell and taste, it allows us to conquer fear and create courage to do things we never imagined. 

“Maybe it’s time for me to feel the power literally. “I am going to go through brain surgery today and want you to know that I am going in with absolute power to recover fast. 

“My thanks to all of you for using the power of your mind to contribute to my life. Love you all.”

His parents and wife Sussanne Roshan are apparently by the actor’s side.Roshan’s health is also the reason being cited for his inability to attend Saturday’s International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards.

Over the weekend, Roshan had taken to his official Twitter account to complain about spasms in his back, writing: “Spasm in my back. Long day in front. The bed on my left, gym on my mind.”

In an outpouring of support, fans have taken to his official account to post messages of encouragement.Leading the way was the actor’s sister-in-law, Farah Khan who wrote: “All will be well for you; you are a good person Duggu [Roshan’s pet name]. Prayers and love.”

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan on Wednesday confirmed the birth of his third baby. However, the actor refrained from speaking about the child's sex and other details.

"I can say no to you right now. It is extremely personal and confidential and I would request everyone here tonite to have a great time. It's a little mix of sadness and happiness what's happening at this point of time. I would request everyone to show the same alacrity in doing the enthusiastic investigations that they are doing on my baby upon other things which it should be," said Shah Rukh.

"Let's get on the train baby, my baby will talk about some other time."The sadness the star mentioned probably referred to the baby who was born prematurely and was therefore underweight at the time of his birth.The couple already has son Aryan and daughter Suhana. The child was born at 34 weeks of pregnancy and weighed 1.5 kg at birth, BMC sources said quoting report received from Masrani Nursing Home.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan became a father for the third time at the end of May, Mumbai officials said Wednesday, amid a controversy over whether the actor and his wife had undergone an illegal prenatal sex test.

A spokesman at Mumbai's municipal body said they have received confirmation that a baby boy was born in May in a northern city suburb to Khan, 47, and his wife Gauri.

"Andheri hospital has informed the BMC health authorities that a boy was born on May 27, 2013," said Vijay Khabale Patil, a spokesman for the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)."The father's name was Shah Rukh Khan and the mother was Gauri Khan," he told AFP.The Khans, already parents to a teenage son and daughter, have made no announcements on the matter but it is standard procedure for hospitals to give details of births in the city to the BMC.

The baby is widely reported to have been born by surrogacy, an arrangement in which a woman carries the child of another couple.Back in 2011, fellow Bollywood megastar Aamir Khan and his wife also had a baby boy using a surrogate mother.The news that the birth was as far back as May means the child was born before rumours surfaced in the media that the Khans were expecting a boy, raising suspicions of an illegal sex test on the foetus.

On seeing the reports, the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association wrote to the health officials demanding an investigation.

Local media on Wednesday said the BMC were still investigating the matter, but Patil was unable to confirm this.India bans sex tests because of a preference for sons in the country. Female foeticide has led to a major population imbalance between the sexes.

Khan, star of "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" ("The Braveheart will get the Bride") and "My Name Is Khan", topped the first Forbes India Celebrity 100 list earlier this year with annual estimated earnings of $37.7 million.

The Tabloid also reported that Gauri has been regularly visiting the hospital and Shah Rukh was spotted there earlier on Tuesday. The report further adds that the discharge form of Namita Chibber carries Shah Rukh Khan's private number.

Moreover, it was reported that Gauri Khan was to leave for London for vacation. But Mrs Khan is very much in Mumbai.

Gauri had never gone to London, she was in Mumbai, but was hiding all this while. Otherwise, Gauri is quite a party animal, who's often spotted partying with her star wives group of Sussanne Khan, Malaika Arora, et al.
