Sultan Kosen of Turkey is world tallest man!!!

As Khagendra Thapa magar of Nepal had been crowned the shortest man of the world according to Guinness Book of World Records. Being Nepali we all know about Khagendra Thapa Magar but do we know who the living tallest man of the world is? Here I am trying to find the information about the world tallest man of the world.

The 2010 edition of Guinness Book of World Records lists Sultan Kosen (born 10 December 1982) as the tallest living man as well as having the largest hands (10.8 inches) (27.5 centimeters) and largest feet (14.4 inches) (36.5 centimeters).

According to Guinness, Sultan Kosen is the tallest living human reaching an average height of 8'1" (2,46.5 m) when measured by GWR in Ankara, Turkey, in February 2009. He takes over the title from China's Bao Xishun, who stands 'just' 2.36 metres (seven feet 8.95 inches). However, Sultan Kosen was still growing and at a more recent meeting with then tallest man of the U.S. George Bell, Sultan Kosen was measured at 8'2" tall.

Sultan Kosen was unable to complete his schooling because of his extreme height, but works occasionally as a farmer to support his family. Sultan Kosen has three brothers and a sister, who are all normal-sized, but his rate of growth surged from the age of 10 because of a tumour which caused too much growth hormone to be released from his pituitary gland. The tumour was successfully removed in surgery and he was thought to have stopped growing last year (2008). He uses walking sticks and tires quickly if he is standing. Another pretender to the tallest title, Ukrainian Leonid Stadnyk, who claims to be 10.5 centimetres taller than Sultan Kosen, fails to qualify for the record because he refused to be measured by Guinness World Records officials. Guinness editor-in-chief Craig Glenday travelled to Turkey to personally validate Sultan Kosen's height under strict guidelines, measuring him three times in one day because bodies expand and shrink throughout the day.

Shah Rukh Khan & Leonardo Di Caprio To Work Together In a movie Xtrme City!!!

It leaves us speechless to hear this news from some of the sources in B-town that two stars of different movie industry are working together. According to the reports, Shah Rukh Khan, a bollywood superstar and actor of Titanic Leonardo Di Caprio and maverick filmmaker-producer Martin Scorsese have decided to work together on an international project.

 Yup, these personalities happened to meet during the Berlin Film Festival when SRK and Karan were busy promoting ‘My Name is Khan’ while Leonardo and Martin Scorsese screened ‘Shutter Island’.
Sharukh Khan is very busy with the Indian-Hollywood Project of Xtrme City. Its been in news that the film will have equal co-Production between the King Khan Red Chillies Group of India and Hollywood Company Sikelia. The film’s screenplay is penned jointly by Schrader and SRK’s good friend and author Mushtaq Sheikh. Sheikh also confirms that Scorsese has gone through the script and liked it very much.

Reportedly, this film is touted to be a crime thriller revolving around the underworld of Mumbai that will be directed by the most eminent Hollywood filmmaker Paul Schrader.

Arbaaz Khan to direct Dabangg-2!!!!!

The sequel of Bollywwod blockbuster Dabang ,Dabangg 2 will go on floors very soon. According to the sources .The original cast of Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha and Sonu Sood will not be changed, however the story will be shifted to a larger city, possibly Mumbai. So Salman will be shown quite modern in the movie.

Nepal's Political Legend Krishna Prasad Bhattarai Passed away at the age of 87!!!

Former Prime Minister and Leader of Nepali Congress (NC) Krishna Prasad Bhattarai, died at 11:26 pm on Friday (4th March 2011) at Norvic International Hospital. Bhattarai died at the age of 87.

Bhattarai, 87, heath condition suddenly deteriorated on Tuesday. He had been shifted to Critical Care Unit on February 16. Executive Director and Consultant Cardiologist Dr. Bharat Rawat said that the reason for death of Bhattarai was Cardiac arrest. Bhattarai, who was admitted to hospital three weeks ago, had renal shutdown and doctors had given up almost all hope of saving him. He had low oxygen levels with kidney, lungs and heart complications. His cerebral function was also very low with low oxygen and blood flow to the brain. He was last surviving founding leader of NC.

President Dr Ram Baran Yadav had visited the hospital at around 10 in the evening just an hour before Bhattarai's death after doctors decided to withdraw the life supporting system which was installed for supplying oxygen and waited for natural death.

Born on 1924 in “Kashi”, was appointed Prime Minister of Nepal two times and he was the first speaker of the country too. Bhattarai was one of the popular Nepali political leaders. He was seen as reputable figure in and outside the political circle. Widely seen as a maverick leader of Nepali Congress Party, he made his position by transitioning Nepal from absolute monarchy to democratic multi-party system.

 Bhattrai was no more taking the intrest in politics of Nepal after the Nepal had become republic state after maoist  had come to the mainstream politics leaving fourteen years of civil war.He was residing in a residence provided by the government in lalitpur with his caretaker Amita kapali. He was also the founding president of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ). Bhattarai was seen as respectable figure in and outside the political circle.

Bhattarai’s body will be kept at Dashrath Stadium on Sunday for offering the last tribute.Then his body procession will be carried out from Dasharath Stadium to Pashupati Aryaghat for the last rites. His body will be cremated as per the Hindu rituals.

Until then, the body will be kept at his residence at Badegaun, Lalitpur where people can pay their last homage on Saturday.
