Sushil Kumar, common man from Bihar wins Rs. 5 crore in KBC

   Sushil Kumar, hailing from Bihar, has hit the jackpot and won Rs.5 crore on 'Kaun Banega Crorepati', on Tuesday in Mumbai. Kumar who is a computer operator and a part time tutor, is the first person to win the jackpot in this season of the show, and was ecstatic to win the prize. The host, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, praised Kumar for his determination and confidence.

A young man from the interiors of Bihar, earning a meagre salary of just Rs.6,500 per month, coming from the most humblest of backgrounds, reaches the hot seat and cracks the ultimate prize - 5 cr rupees!  Kumar is a computer operator and tutor. His victory led to celebrations on the sets of the show."The pulsating excitement on the set and among the crew was unimaginable. It was as if they had won the hugest prize ever in the history of Indian television. The tension as each question was meticulously answered and the pulsating and throbbing hearts as he crossed the Rs.1crore mark and then waited and waited and waited till almost eternity to decide on that final answer of Rs.5 crorer

The design by interior designer Shayam Bhatia is intentional, reveals Ashwini Yardi, programming head, Colors.

"We have made the house more compact this time around, so that people are more in each other's face," Yardi told reporters

For 100 days, the contestants will be locked inside the 9,000 square feet house, which has been moved from the busy markets of Lonavala to the lush plains of Karjat. As many as 55 cameras have been placed inside the house to pry upon their activities 24x7

The show, to be co-hosted by actors Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan, will go on air Sunday. The official list of participants is yet to be unveiled. However, names like Nihita Biswas, the Nepali wife of alleged murderer Charles Sobhraj, actress Pooja Bedi, TV actress Parul Chauhan, and even international boxing champion Mike Tyson are expected to be on the show.

From the design of the house, one can imagine that the tolerance level of the contestants will be tested to the hilt. Since the house is smaller as compared to previous seasons of the show, it barely leaves space for any housemate for privacy.

The jail, where indisciplined contestants can be locked, makes a comeback this season, and the much-used kitchen sink has been placed in the garden area to cause more inconvenience and create fiction between the participants.

The house also has a lot of glass, due to which one can view the entire expanse -- from the entry of the house to the bedroom all in one go, including the outdoor and living section of the house.

The two separate bedrooms, in shades of green and fuchsia with a hint of white, brown and yellow, have no differentiation for the sexes. Maintaining tradition since last year, there's a special bedroom for the head-of-house, who will get some luxuries and special privileges.

The open kitchen is connected with a dining room that extends to the garden area, and the outdoor area has gained more prominence with the pool area, the activity area, the gymnasium and the kitchen sink being placed there.

The house has a common washroom, as well as a common bath for male and female contestants.

Shakira, Roger Waters buy island together!!!

Colombian singer Shakira and musician Roger Waters together bought a Caribbean island worth USD 16 million.

Shakira, 34, and Waters, 68, are reportedly hoping to "reinvent the concept of tourism" by building a set of luxury holiday homes on the island which will also include private beaches and a number of hotels.
"It's not about having 200 speedboats and an 18-hole golf course. I would say it is an explosion of the senses. It's got some height to it, which means as you build up, you get better views. There is the ocean to the east of it so you've got reefs and views of turquoise water.
