Maddox had pinpointed Hussein's location while assigned to a special operations task force in Tikrit, just hours before his tour were due to end.
Pattinson's new film is based on the book, written by Maddox and Davin Seay, 'Mission: Black List 1 pound: The Inside Story Of The Search For Saddam Hussein - As Told By The Soldier Who Masterminded His Capture'.
"Mission: Blacklist is a psychological thriller that details the true, inside story of the search for Saddam Hussein and the interrogator, Eric Maddox, who spearheaded his capture," he said.

The film has been adapted from the book by Erik Jendresen, a writer and producer of the TV series 'Band Of Brothers'.
