Dr. Conrad Murray is asking a judge to throw out a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the 'Thriller' singer's father, Joe, claiming Jackson is responsible for his son’s Michael jackson’s death.
The 'King of Pop' died of acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009 while under Murray 's care at his Los Angeles home.

However, papers filed by lawyers for Dr. Murray claim Jackson was taking the drug without the medic's knowledge, and on the day of his death he "clandestinely self-administered or self-ingested such medications" and "is comparatively responsible for his own death."

The singer was found by postmortem to have a cocktail of different drugs in his system when he died.

Dr. Murray's filing claims Jackson had been visiting other doctors who had give him medication and the 'Leave me Alone' star had failed to give him his full medical history, or a detailed account of which medications he was on. Dr. Murray is also awaiting trial in a separate case, where he faces charges of involuntary manslaughter of Jackson . A judge is expected to decide a start date for that trial on July 12.
