After Katrina, end of Salman’s love life and getting arrange marriage?

The most eligible bachelor of Bollywood Salman Khan says he has no love life. That must be good news for millions of girls who are die hard Salman Khan fan. But is this an indication that the 'Dabangg' Khan is ready for marriage and that too an arranged marriage? Salman is the face of the History channel and was attending the unveiling of TV 18's Big initiative. He spoke to the press and said that he somehow no longer remembers the art of dating girls now.
It's obvious for people to raise their eyebrows when Salman Khan says he has lost the art of dating. More so when his name has always been associated with beautiful actresses in the film industry. Dating girls and Salman are synonymous.

This 46 year old actor has a long list of girlfriends, starting with Sangeeta Bijlani, Somy Ali, Aishwarya Rai, Katrina Kaif and many which are unspoken.
Incidentally, it's been quite a while when Salman actually went out dating with any girl openly or showed his affection like he used to do earlier.
Katrina Kaif was the last lucky lady to have gained Salman's complete attention. But Katrina now tired of non-committal relationship in Bollywood has allegedly decided to go for arranged marriage. It is rumoured that the actress has asked her mother to look for a suitable groom for her. So is Salman heartbroken after this decision by Katrina Kaif? Salman, confessed that he, is no longer adept at dating women, might follow Katrina's step and finally opt for an arranged marriage. It doesn't matter whether Salman Khan says he has no love life but he still rules the heart of millions of fans.

'Heroine' not about Manisha Koirala: Bhandarkar

Madhur Bhandarkar has denied the reports that his film "Heroine" is inspired by actress Manisha Koirala's life.Manisha Koirala is one of the successful actress of ninties and is from renowned political family of Nepal.
"Heroine's not inspired by Manish Koirala's life. It's a figment of imagination. People should check facts before creating such stories," Bhandarkar wrote on his Twitter page.
It was reported that the film, starring Kareena Kapoor in the lead, was inspired by the ups and downs in Manisha's personal and professional life.
Manisha Koirala

"Heroine" is one of Bhandarkar's most ambitious project, which has been plagued with hurdles. The director was left in a fix after Aishwarya Rai backed out of the film due to her pregnancy, after which Kareena was roped in.
Later the films dialogues went missing after dialogue writer Niranjan Iyengar's laptop was stolen from his car.
Thankfully, the film is now on track.

Kareena To Play Munni In Dabangg 2

Its official, Kareena Kapoor is going to perform the item number replacing Munni in 'Dabangg 2'.
The item number in Dabangg 2 will either be composed by Sajid Wajid or Lalit Pandit. It will retain the rustic desi touch, like its predecessor, but with a different face.
The 'Munni Badnaam Hui' number had started a new trend in the item number genre.
The 'Chhammak Challo' girl is not known for her desi appeal in the industry. She is identified as the westernised hot Indian babe more often than not.
Kareena Kapoor is Dancing as Munni in Dabang 2

She hasn't done a proper item number to date either, appearing only in a couple of songs for close friend Shah Rukh Khan's films.
The closest she has come to an item number could possibly be her mujra act in the much anticipated Agent Vinod. But, it seems she will definitely give 'Chikni Chameli' Katrina Kaif a stiff competition in future.
Dabangg 2 is scheduled to go on floors on March 9. The film will oscillate between Lucknowin Uttar Pradesh and Satara and Mumbai in Maharashtra.

‘Heroine’ is Resonances of Manisha Koirala’s life?

Madhur Bhandarkar’s upcoming ‘Heroine’ has made a lot of headlines right since its inception. First the issue of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan quitting the film left Bhandarkar in an abyss, and then the incident of the film’s dialogues getting stolen. Hurdles and handicaps that the movie has had to dodge apart, reliable sources have come up with an interesting observation. Rumour has it that Bhandarkar’s brainchild is based on the life of the beauty of yesteryears, Manisha Ko irala.

Bebo’s ‘Heroine’ loses its script
Manisha Koirala’s stardom in the 90s had left many people surprised, and many more envious. The vertiginous heights of fame that she’d risen to, came crashing down with her alcohol abuse and turbulent relationships.

Koirala’s career dwindled down to almost nothingness by mid-2005, and despite being a skilled actor, she went down the ladder of fame. Her tumultuous relationships had caused a stir in the Hindi film industry, and had set many tongues wagging. And now, she is back in news again. The film ‘Heroine’, supposedly, sketches the ups and downs of the actress’ personal and professional life.
Madhur Bhandarkar, however, has denied the speculations, saying that his film is not based on anyone in particular. ‘Heroine’, which sees Kareena Kapoor in the lead role, was also thought to have been inspired by the life of Marilyn Monroe, among others.

Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy wins first Oscar for Pakistan

Pakistani filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy has won an Academy Award for her documentary about acid attack victims, becoming the first person from the country to win an Oscar. In her acceptance speech, and first-time Oscar nominee Chinoy dedicated the award to the women of Pakistan.

"All the women in Pakistanworking for change, don't give up on your dreams, this is for you," the News quoted her as saying.

Directed by Daniel Junge and produced by Chinoy, the film follows British plastic surgeon Dr. Mohammad Jawad, who returns to his homeland to help victims of acid burns.

More than 100 people, mainly women and girls, are disfigured in acid attacks every year in Pakistan, although groups helping survivors say many more cases go unreported.
Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy with Oscar

"The women who decided to be a part of the documentary did so because they wanted to make their voices heard and wanted to bring attention to this form of assault," Chinoy said in an interview conducted before she won the Oscar.

"The main reason that they are in 'Saving Face' is to make their stories heard and have an impact," she added.

Many victims are women attacked by their husbands, and others assaulted for turning down a proposal of marriage. One girl in the documentary describes how she was burned after rejecting the advances of her teacher. She was 13 at the time.

Another woman featured in the film is 25-year-old Rukhsana, whose husband threw acid on her and her sister-in-law doused her in gasoline before her mother-in-law lit a match and set her on fire.

Chinoy said she hopes the cases in her film will resonate for others in Pakistan.

"It is a story of hope with a powerful message for the Pakistani audience. I felt this would be a great way to show how Pakistanis can help other Pakistanis overcome their problems," she asserted.

Aish's Beti B's photo leaked in twitter?

Desperate to know how Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's baby daughter looks like, somebody has posted a picture of Aishwarya Rai with a baby on her lap on Twitter.
The photograph that did the rounds this weekend was an alleged picture showcasing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with a baby seated on her lap. The rumour doing the rounds is that it is an original photo of Aishwarya and her daughter, Beti B.
Many pictures of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with her baby have done the rounds in the past. In fact, Aishwarya's father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan had denied all the speculations that claimed pictures to be that of Aishwarya and her baby.

The picture doing the rounds shows a visibly slimmer looking Aishwarya holding a baby that looks nearly 5-6 months old or more. Aishwarya's beti B is only three months old and all those who have seen Aish's recent pictures will know that Aishwarya has put on weight post delivery.
Though the photograph is being circulated throughout the internet, some twitter users claim that the picture is that of Aishwarya with her nephew Vihaan Rai.
Whatever it is, the truth is that Aishwarya Rai Bachchans' fans are desperate to catch a glimpse of Beti B and will keep posting pictures claiming it to be that of Beti B!

Bomb explosion kills three in Capital City of Nepal Kathmandu

At least three people, including a woman, were killed Monday in a powerful petrol bomb blast in the Nepali capital, media reports said.

More than six people were injured -- five of them critically, Xinhua reported.
Local media reports said the blast took place around 1 p.m. outside the gate of the Nepal Oil Corporation's central office in Babarmahal area, close to the country's seat of government Singhadurbar.
The Samyukta Jatiya Mukti Morcha-Bishwokranti (SJMM), an ethnic outfit, has claimed responsibility for the bombing.

Police cordoned off the site immediately after the incident. The injured were admitted to the Bir Hospital.
Local media said a meeting on fuel price hike was underway in the Nepal Oil Corporation's office when the explosion rocked the building.
At least six people were also injured in the blast, officials say.
There has been no comment from the government as yet.
"A bomb blast killed two people and injured five in an area near government offices and the district court. The explosion occurred at 1:25pm (0740 GMT)," Nepal police spokesman, Binod Singh, was quoted by news agency Agence France Presse as saying.
"A special team of police have been deployed in the area. They are gathering evidence and the area has been cordoned off."

A person claiming to be a spokesman for the Unified National Liberation Front said it was a group fighting for the rights of indigenous communities and cited the government's inability to curb corruption and fuel price rises as reasons behind the attack, BBC Nepali reports.
The device, which went off at 1:25pm (0740 GMT) in a busy area of Kathmanduas workers were heading out of offices on their lunch breaks
A previously unknown group calling itself the Unified Ethnic Liberation Front claimed responsibility, Home Minister Bijay Kumar Gachchadar said, although the group’s agenda remains unclear.
“We will take action against the group. This is a political group which the police are investigating,” he told AFP.
“This is a very serious incident. Two were killed on the spot and one died in hospital. Seven were wounded.
“This is not due to a lapse in security but it represents an ongoing threat. I have ordered that security be tightened.”
Live television pictures from outside the offices of the state-owned Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) showed blood spattered across the road while police cleared panicked office workers from an area surrounding a body.
“We rushed to the site after hearing the explosion. There was panic and crying,” said Ramesh Koirala, chief of the NOC’s administration department.

“I saw that one body was piled up on another. The police haven’t picked up the dead bodies yet. There were internal organs scattered across the road. One of our employees, who is in his 30s, has been seriously injured.”
Another witness told News 24 TV: “There was a sudden explosion while we were talking and we ran for cover.
“We assumed that sound of the explosion was from a punctured tyre but we quickly realised that it was a bomb blast.”
Three people were killed and two others injured in December 2009 when a bomb went off in the southwest of the country but the device was thought to be a left-over from the Maoist insurgency.

Nelson Mandela, 93, leaves hospital after minor surgery

Former President Nelson Mandela was released from the hospital Sunday after an overnight stay for minor diagnostic surgery to determine the cause of an abdominal complaint, a spokesman for the country's current leader said.
Spokesman Mac Maharaj said the 93-year-old Nobel peace laureatehad undergone a laparoscopy, a procedure that involves surgeons making an incision in the belly to insert a thin, lighted tube to look at abdominal organs.
"The doctors have decided to send him home as the diagnostic procedure he underwent did not indicate anything seriously wrong with him," President Jacob Zuma's office added in a statement.

Officials had not disclosed where he was being treated to protect his privacy.
Earlier in the day, Zuma had released a statement saying that Mandela was "surrounded by his family and is relaxed and comfortable."
"The doctors are happy with the progress he is making. We thank all South Africans for their love and support of Madiba. We also thank all for affording Madiba and his family privacy and dignity," said Zuma, referring to Mandela by his clan name.
Mandela, who spent 27 years in prison for fighting racist white rule, became South Africa's first black president in 1994 and served one five-year term. He now is officially retired, and last appeared in public in July 2010.
On Sunday, well-wishers prayed for Mandela at Regina Mundi church in Soweto, a former center of anti-apartheid protests and funerals.
In 1997, Mandela spoke at the church, calling it a "battlefield between forces of democracy and those who did not hesitate to violate a place of religion with tear gas, dogs and guns."

Sorry Junrey, Nepali is world's shortest man again !!(Watch Video)

A 72-year-old man from a remote valley in southwestern Nepal was on Sunday declared the shortest man ever documented after being measured by Guinness World Records officials.
Chandra Bahadur Dangi stands just 54.6 centimeters (21.5 inches) tall, measurements confirmed, 5.3 cm shorter than Filipino Junrey Balawing, the previous holder of the "world's shortest man" title.
"I'm continually amazed that this record keeps getting broken," Guinness World Records editor-in-chief Craig Glenday said in a statement after the adjudication in the Nepali capital Kathmandu.
"Just when you think it's impossible for the record to get any smaller, Mr Dangi comes along and astonishes us all.
"What I find equally remarkable is his age -- if he really is 72, he is by far the oldest person to be awarded the shortest-man record in Guinness World Record's 57-year history," Glenday added.

Dangi has also been declared the shortest human adult ever documented, taking the accolade from India's Gul Mohammed, who was measured at 57cm before he died in 1997 aged 40.
Dangi, who weighs 12 kilograms (26.5 pounds), was brought to the attention of the world only three weeks ago after Nepali researchers looking into the history of the Dangi people were introduced to him.
He told AFP in his first interview with Western media earlier this month that recognition at the end of his life would be some compensation for years of hardship.
The pensioner, who was orphaned at 12, says relatives used to display him at freak shows to make money for themselves and that he has never experienced romance or found his soulmate.

"Until now, Chandra's stature has been a burden; he is acutely aware of the difficulties of fitting into an average-sized world and is disappointed at having missed out on the chance to find a wife," Guinness World Records said on Sunday.
"He is hopeful, though, that his new title will see a change in his fortunes."
The cause of his stunted growth remains a mystery although many holders of the "world's shortest man" crown have suffered from primordial dwarfism.
Dangi earns a sparse living weaving jute headbands and has only ever left his village in poverty-stricken Dang district, 350 kilometres (220 miles) from Kathmandu, a handful of times.
Guinness World Records quoted Dangi, who visited Kathmandu for the first time to be measured, as saying he was too old for marriage but would still like to travel.
"I want to visit foreign countries and meet people from around the world," Dangi said.
Another Nepali, Khagendra Thapa Magar, claimed the title in 2010 after being measured at 67 cm.
Magar's stint as the world's shortest man saw him travel to more than a dozen countries and make television appearances in Europe and the United States.
