La Toya Jackson has confirmed that her brother Jermaine was romantically involved with Whitney Houston, for a brief period, when she was starting out as a singer. The older brother of pop king Michel Jackson and Houston grew close as they worked together in the studio in the mid-1980s, and the 'Do What You Do' singer had revealed in his autobiography that he had to put his feelings for the young star to one side for the sake of his marriage.
But now sister La Toya has revealed that they were more than just feelings.
"In all due respect, I think Jermaine wrote that in his book to protect Whitney... He has admitted that they had an affair," Contactmusic quoted her as telling on U.S. TV show The Talk on Monday.

On being asked if he was unfaithful to his wife at the time, La Toya gave a non-committal reply.
"I'm not sure if he was completely married (at the time)," she said.
