The Movie based on vampire 'Breaking Dawn' breaks records!!!

Starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1’ pulled in a record breaking USD 72 million (approx) on its first day itself.
The latest by Summit Entertainment, the film made the third highest opening day gross of all time, just behind ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows- Part 2’ which drew an incredible USD 91.1 million in its opening and 2009s ‘Twilight Saga: New Moon’ which took in USD 72.7 million.
While it fell slightly short of New Moon, it did cross the opening day of last year’s ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’, which opened to USD 68.5 million

‘New Moon’ is the best comparison for ‘Breaking Dawn’ since it hit theaters on the same weekend two years ago.
Directed by Bill Condon, the film took in USD 30.3 million in midnight showings only and is now placed at the second spot of highest midnight gross after ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2’ which earned an estimated USD 43.5 million. On the other side, it surpassed midnight earnings of New Moon by USD 3.5 million
.
Breaking Dawn is a two-part film based on the final novel by Stephenie Meyer.
In Part 1 Bella Swan, played by Kristen Stewart, marries vampire Edward Cullen, character played by Robert Pattinson, and becomes pregnant.
The film opened on this Friday in 4,061 theaters, and was projected to open to at least USD 140 million in its opening weekend
.
The film grabbed USD 8.9 million from its international opening in five markets and is also expected to earn USD 300 million in the domestic box office run only.
