Simon Cowell to buy robot body to be immortal?

Surgeons estimate they will be able to transplant a human head onto a robot's body by 2050, a prospect Simon - who has previously said he wants to be cryogenically frozen after death so he can be bought back to life in the future - would no doubt be interested in.
Neuroscientist Dr. Sergio Canavero thinks Simon could even have his head transplanted onto a robot body before he dies, which could, theoretically enable him to live forever.
He told The Sun newspaper: "Is it possible that a head could be transplanted onto an entirely artificial body? I say, in the 21st century, yes.

"It will not be tomorrow, or the day after, but by 2050 artificial bodies will become an absolute certainty. This project could become a means to extend life."Anders Sandberg of the Oxford Centre for Neuroethics, said robot bodies could also be updated as technology improves.

He said: "If you got the early version of the body you may be able to upgrade it later."While cyborg transplants may theoretically become possible, they are unlikely to be available to most people because of the multi-million pound cost, although this would not be a problem for Simon, 53, who is worth an estimated 62 million pounds according to forbes.com.

Speaking of his wish to be cryogenically frozen, the TV mogul has said: "It's an insurance policy. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. If it does work, I'll be happy. If it's possible, and I think it will be, why not have a second crack? Does that sound crazy? I think it's a good idea."
