James Franco to release his first novel


James Franco is set to release his first novel ‘Actors Anonymous’ which is loosely based on his life via online retailer Amazon. Actor who achieved recognition for playing the titular character in the TV biographical film James Dean (2001), for which he was awarded a Golden Globe Award. A spokeswoman for Amazon, which ventured into publishing in 2011, declined to discuss the terms of the book deal and whether the novel would be published in e-book as well as print form. Ed Park, the editor who acquired the book, described it as “a hugely ambitious and wild ride.”

The ‘127 Hours’ star has previously released a collection of short stories entitled ‘
Palo Alto’.
The 33-year-old actor is well known for his love of changing his work constantly, in addition to his acting career, he also hosted the Academy Awards in 2010 with Anne Hathaway amid much criticism.

The actor also announced in November that he was planning to shoot and direct a fashion campaign for ‘Seven for All Mankind’.

Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in English at Yale and another in creative writing at the University of Houston, the actor has also dabbled in documentary filmmaking, curating art exhibits and creating multimedia and dance projects.
