Big Brother Africa 2012 nominations: Zambia and Malawi Up For Eviction

Zambia and Malawi are next on the chopping block. Who will survive?
After a dramatic Live Eviction Show, which saw South Africa's Barbz being evicted from the Big Brother House, the fate of some of the Downvillers was decided.

Zambia's Talia and Tamara, as well as Malawi's Nafe and  Wati were selected during the Random Lottery, as the next four Housemates to be put on the Eviction gallows. Upon the delivery of the news, the other Housemates reached in for hugs and gave the Nominees words of encouragement and comfort.

Remember, two Housemates will be upgraded from Downville to Upville next Sunday. These two do not have to be country pairs. Stay with anantapost to know who will survive and who will be evicted. Anantapost will bring all the exclusive updates of Big Brother Star game 2012.

Big Brother Star Game 2012: Seventh week Nominations Barbz, Maneta & Prezzo nominated

As the Big Brother Africa 2012 is moving on seventh week therwe was nominations in the Upvilel and this nominations puts three housemates up from Evction,For some reason, Roki and Keitta dodged the Nominations dagger. Perhaps Keitta hasn't stepped on any toes yet since he's still pretty new in Upville but Roki has definitely rub some Upvillers the wrong way.

However, Roki's been strategically planting stories amongst the Housemates, which led to them nominating each other and totally forgetting about him. Maneta got the highest Nominations (4) followed by Prezzo and Barbz who both got three Nominations, Goldie and Lady May both got two Nominations each.

Goldie nominated Maneta and Lady May, Prezzo put up Barbz and Maneta, Maneta returned the favour to Prezzo and Goldie, surprisingly stabbed his girlfriends Barbz and Maneta and Roki thought he could follow suite. It was quite disturbing that Roki repeated the same mistake of nominating his fellow countrymate but one of his many reasons for doing so was that she dislikes him. Lady May put up Prezzo and Goldie for not pulling their weight when she was HoH and finally,Barbz nominated Prezzo and Lady May.

It is all up to Goldie to save either Barbz, Lady May or Prezzo.
Update:

Later Goldie did not hesitate to save her man from the Eviction gallows this evening.

The Nigerian singer is Head of House this week and as HoH, has the power to 'Save and Replace' any Housemate she chooses. The Starmate she chose to save was none other than the love of her life, Prezzo (as if she would pick anyone else). In Prezzo's place, Goldie did not hesitate to put up Upville newbie Keitta.

Before Goldie went into the Diary Room to make the swap, Prezzo smiled like the cat that got the cream. He obviously had no doubts whatsoever, that his lady would come through for him. Goldie gave things away also by eyeballing the other Housemates and asking "Who could have done this to Prezzo?" as she walked to the Diary Room to reveal her 'Save and Replace' decision. Little does Goldie know that the man she lives for has gone behind her back and gossiped about her. Hows that for loyalty?

Well, it looks like Prezzo's strategy has worked for him beautifully. He made up with Goldie after giving her the run around, just in time for the crucial Nominations.

Big Brother Star Game: Keagan and Junia Enter Upville while Lee and Jesica were Evicted

As the Big Brother Africa 2012 also known as Big Brother Star Game is moving seventh week the excitement under and outside the big Brother Africa House have been in top. This Sunday two of the housemates Keagan from South Africa and Junia from namibia  Enter Upville. For the first time in StarGame history two Housemates have been upgraded to Upville.Keagan and Junia have become the newest members of the VIP House. After that IK read out the voting results and revealed that the first person to be upgraded to Upville to is her StarGame partner Junia. The two ladies hugged it out and said their goodbyes and then Jesica left the stage.
As soon as she entered Upville, Junia expressed her thoughts on how who she wishes will be the second upgraded Downville, saying: “I hope it’s not Keagan, I hope it’s Lee”.
Kegan and Junia

Earlier on while up on the Live Eviction Stage StarGame presenter IK grilled Junia about the number of guys she has kissed in the House. Over the past six weeks she has kissed four guys in total – AlexOla, Lee and separated from Leeand over the past six weeks Keagan has always had his more sensible StarGame partner to watch his back during all of his shenanigans. So how will Keagan measure up amongst the backstabbing Housemates of Upville without his wingman? We’ll have to wait and see.

Eviction
Tonight it was once again that time of the week that all of the StarGamers dread when Africa bids goodbye to more of the Big Brother Housemates. Namibian dame Jesica was the first Housemate to bow out of Big Brother House tonight.
During the Live Eviction Show StarGame presenter IK grilled the Namibian beauty about her relationship with Luke. According to her it is true love, she said: “It’s real, I don’t play with my feelings like that,” before adding “Liberia here I come.” Let’s hope Luke feels the same way.
This week it was the Namibian girls and the South African boys Lee and Keagan that were up for eviction. Voting results are calculated according to the total votes within each country, and only one housemate wins the vote for that country based on majority. Those country votes are then counted to a total of 15 votes, giving the final voting result.

Jesica from Namibia

Lee, the lovable South African cutie was the second Housemate to exit the Big Brother House tonight.
Lee stood on the Live Eviction Stage next to his StarGame partner Keagan while being grilled by StarGame presenter IK about the status of his relationship with Upville newbie Junia.
“You do what you have to survive,” said Lee about their kiss in the Jacuzzi. Wow… we wonder how Junia would feel about how the Downville really feels about their smooch.

Lee From South Africa

IK then read out the voting results saying: “Lee you have been evicted from the Big Brother House.” Lee took the news well and made a graceful exit off of the Live Eviction Stage. But Keagan was clearly upset by the news of his separation from his wingman. He even looked like he was about to break down into tears as the fellas said their final goodbyes.

Big Brother Africa 2012: Namibia and South Africa up for nomination

This week, Namibia and South Africa are at Africa's mercy, after being randomly nominated during the Live Eviction Show.
For the first time since StarGame began, two Housemates will be shipped off to snazzy Upville this coming Sunday.

Lee, Junia, Keagan and Jesica will all be battling for Africa's vote as the race to the finale heats up. It is important to note that the two who will be upgraded to Upville do not need to be country pairs.
This evening, the Housemates watched from their television in the Downville lounge as the random lottery balls bubbled in the selector. Although many of the Downvillers tried to play it cool as they awaited their fate, the fear in their eyes could not be hidden. When Junia and Jesica's country ball popped up, Jesica looked stunned.

Junia did not waste any time and broke down into a heap of tears. Keagan smiled uneasily then cracked a joke, while Lee quickly made a beeline for a cigarette. A cigarette for the pain?

Big Brother Star game 2012: DKB & Zainab are evicted due to disqualification

DKB and Zainab have been disqualified from StarGame for contravening the violence rule.

The Sierra Leonean model Zainab was transferred in to the upville after she got highest number of votes on random nomination and Ghanaian comedian DKB who was already in upville from the very beginning engaged in an argument in the afternoon which resulted in violence. The Big Brother rules state clearly that; Any Housemate who becomes physically violent will be removed from the House immediately. When Big Brother made the announcement, DKB was in the Diary Room while Zainab was curled in the Glass House.
DKB and Zainab fighting

Violence can refer to self-inflicted violence, or violence towards another. Violence includes provocation, goading, bullying and victimisation.

In addition, Big Brother refered Housemates to the following rule:

Housemates will be disqualified by Big Brother if they have broken any of the rules or undermined the world of Big Brother. In this event they cannot return and may be replaced.

Having reviewed the footage, Big Brother has come to the following decision:
“DKB – you have been disqualified from the game for contravening the violence rule. You must pack your bags immediately, and take them to Storeroom. You must say goodbye to your Housemates and then leave the house through the Storeroom. DKB, leave the Diary Room immediately, and pack your bags,” Big Brother said.

To Zainab, Big Brother said; “having reviewed the footage very carefully, Big Brother can come to no other conclusion than that your provocation of DKB contributed substantively to the incident. For this reason, Big Brother has concluded that you have also been disqualified. Once DKB has left the House, you too will pack your bags and take them to the storeroom. You will then say goodbye to your Housemates, and leave through the storeroom.”
Zainab, Big Brother will let you know when you can leave the Glass House and go upstairs to pack your bags. So after this eviction due to disqualification there will be no eviction on upville this week.

Brother Star game 2012: Keitta was save, while Mildred Eve and Edith was out Big

Lots of things are happening the house of big brother star game after it was started in may and now after the random nomination of fourth third week  Keitta was upgraded to Upville last Sunday  Mildred however, was not there to share in her man's joy.Mildred went full steam ahead with her plans to ignore the Live Eviction Show.
Keitta

The Ghanaian Housemate slowly made the 60 second walk outside of the Downville House alongside Keitta, Eve and Edith with a hoodie covering her hair. Unlike previous Eviction Shows where the Housemates have to contend with long, drawn-out suspense, IK called all the Evicted Housemates to the stage, leaving some of the Downvillers baffled.

Keitta had to take the stressful Live Eviction Stage walk without his Brazilian weave less girlfriend by his side.

After minutes of suspense, the three Nominated Housemates huddled on stage, before Keitta was announced as the latest Downviller to be upgraded to cushy Upville. Mildred could not be a part of her man's big moment, because she had elected to languish backstage, courtesy of her bad hair day. He got neither a hug nor a kiss on the Eviction stage, to toughen him up for the long road ahead.

Keitta moving to Upville is sure to cause more than a lot of drama. It is no secret that Zainab has a crush on the Ghanaian.

Keitta has maintained in Diary Sessions (with his girlfriend looking on) that he thinks Zainab is a nice person, but is not interested in her romantically. Zainab is known to be very strong willed and is not afraid to go for what she wants.

Will she wear Keitta down and hook up with him now that Keitta and Mildred have been separated? What are your thoughts?

Big Brother Star Game 2012: Mampi have to say Goodbye

It was that time of the week again that no Housemate looks forward to. Last week, three people were put up for eviction from upville and after stressful seven days since Mampi, Lady May and Maneta were nominated.  Last Sunday  Mampi was chosen to leave the House. The Zambian star had the least votes and is the first Upville Housemate to go. While the girls were getting ready half an hour before the show, Mampi said to Maneta, Prezzo and Barbz that she’s “very happy to be there but her heart is not.” Maneta then said that Mampi misses home. Do you think she’s happy and relieved to be going? The girls then put their bags downstairs, they could hear the crowd cheering next door, which made them, including us, nervous.
Mampi
The show kicked off with a performance by Tanzanian hip-hop artist, Diamond. Namibian DJ, Umculo, was next to perform and presented a mix to the audience.

Big Brother presenter, IK, then switched to Upville where they could see and hear him on the screen. DKB was asked to stand up and tell Africa who he nominated, to which he said Lady May. Lady May jumped up from the couch and said "I knew it!" She stood very confident while waving her flag. Mampi was a lot less confident and looked very nervous as she waved to the cameras. Lady May was told that she's safe, which left Maneta and Mampi standing side by side.

IK told Maneta that she was safe, and at that moment, Mampi knew she was the one leaving. She gave the rest of the Housemates a hug and made her way out. Mampi then came onto the stage where she was interviewed by IK. The ex-Housemate said that she thinks Zainab has the potential to win because she's "crazy."

IK then turned to the random Nomination machine to see which Downville Housemates get nominated. Ghana's Keitta and Mildred were selected first. A second random Nomination was conducted, to which Botswana's Edith and Eve were selected.

Here is how Africa voted this week (27 May 2012) – Mampi has unfortunately been eliminated from the Upville House.

Big Brother Africa:Chris and Ola of Nigeria were out of Big Brother StarGame!

Nigeria's Ola and Chris are out from the House of the Big Brother Star Game.
In their Diary Session Friday, Ola and Chris sat with heavy hearts, prompting Big Brother to ask them what was on their minds.
Ola broke the ice by declaring that after consultation with the House Doctor, he would like to Voluntarily Exit the Big Brother House. He said that he has thought about it and since the medication he is on does not seem to be taking well, would like to seek medical attention outside of the Big Brother House.
Chris of Nigeria
Ola Of Nigeria

A sombre-looking Chris added that he understands completely. "Yes, this is a game. However, we can’t play with our lives."
“Health is wealth”, Ola added. The two were instructed by Biggie to leave the Diary Room and speak to their fellow Housemates, to explain the situation.

The two Nigerian Housemates have to leave the House with immediate effect, seeing as their Voluntary Exit has been prompted by a serious medical condition that needs urgent attention.

Official statement from M-Net and Endemol

Whilst M-Net and Endemol are deeply saddened to see these two very entertaining housemates leave the game, they remain committed to ensuring the health and safety of the contestants and therefore understand and respect the Housemates’ decision. Further they would like to thank both the contestants for their contribution to the show and their participation and wish them well for the future.

Big Brother Star Game: Second Random nomination put Sierra Leone and Liberian contestants up for eviction

After an emotional Live Eviction Show which saw three Housemates being moved out of StarGame, the Downvillers braced themselves for more drama.
They did not have to wait too long. The gang huddled in front of the television in the lounge, waiting with bated breath for the results of the Random Lottery Nomination.
Gasps could be heard as the Lottery balls popped out of the machine - revealing Sierra Leone and Liberia as the pairs up for possible Eviction this week.

Zainab and Dalphin from Sierra Leone did not give too much away by way of facial expression after hearing this news, nor did Liberia's Luke and Yadel. The other Housemates obviously breathed a collective sigh of relief, seeing as they have yet another week in the game. Or do they?
With Big Brother and those unpredictable twists and turns, anything can happen. Who will survive the chop this week?

Big Brother Star game: Maneta Survives, while Teclar Julio and Hilda Evicted

After a week of endless speculation, the Housemates were finally put out of their misery tonight.
The Princess of Zamunda - Teclar - was unable to use her 'royal powers' to save herself from Eviction.Julio and the bubbly Hilda from Tanzania are also on the next to leave Big brother  house after only a week in the game.
As Downille gathered in the lounge, Maneta and Teclar were the first to be told to leave the Big Brother House.
Their fellow Housemates did not seem too heartbroken about the news and proclaimed "More food for us". Maneta simply made a dramatic beeline for the Eviction doors, telling Julio not to touch her, as he reached for a hug.

The Zimbabwean Housemate obviusly had no inkling she was about to upgrade to posh Upville.
When her older sister Teclar was notified of the end of the road, she held back the tears welling in her eyes.
After she had walked off the stage, Julio and Hilda were notified of their fate too.

Mi Casa to perform in Big Brother Africa House on Sunday show

With DJ Sphectacular already set to play at Saturday night’s Housemate party, it has been confirmed another big act. Mi Casa will be sharing the stage with Spectacular, while The Reps give a StarGame dance performance. Mi Casa is the talk of the town right now; with recent SAMA wins, hit songs on radio and performances and interviews all around the country. The trio is a band whose music incorporates a mixture of the trumpet, guitar and mellow vocals. The band mates, Dr.Duda, J’Something and Mo-T keep listeners relaxed with their chilled Sunday sounds.
 Mi Casa

Mi Casa’s first hit single “These Streets” was a big success in 2008, and featured on one of the Soul Candi albums. “Heavenly Sent” is another one of their hit singles, which is currently being played all over the show. Tomorrow night’s party will be from 9-11pm. Don’t miss Big Brothers’ first official Housemate bash.

Big Brother Africa Star Game : Who will be First to Evicted?

Since the opening of 2012 Big Brother Africa Stargame, it has been tension socked as the time ticks in the next 85 days before the USD 300 000 is handed over to the ultimate winner.
The show has since Sunday continued to present great entertainment and drama in all in one mode. The house has been divided into two with the Upville residence, hosting a group of seven celebrities including Namibian Singer Lady May. The Downville house has now become home to 28 vibrant, chatty and loud housemates who are making use of their time to get to know each other considering there are a lot of long days to go.
Despite the fun, there is tension about who gets evicted on Sunday as some persons have already been slated for eviction.

Housemates in the Downville house entered in pairs and this Sunday nominated Housemates from Tanzania Hilda and Julio along with Zimbabwe's sisters Maneta and Tecla could be heading home come this Sunday. The nominated housemates have managed to go on with the game without dwelling on the possibility of leaving. There were a few tears when IK announced the nominations for eviction last Sunday.
However, there was a twist when Angola's Esperanca has volunteered to exit Big Brother Star Game due to personal issues but now she takes that back.
Housemates have since started having their set of tasks. This is one of Big Brothers many secret tasks to simply see if housemates can put aside their differences and work together towards making sure they win their task wagers.

Four Housemates nominated by Random Nomination Process

Housemates entered the house as either best buddies, siblings and only one couple dared to enter this season, namely Ghana's Mildred and Keita who are confident enough to say that being a couple will not be their weak point, nor will it deter them from going all the way for the cool USD 300 000. It surely will be a tricky one considering people do already like each other not even a week into the game.
Twists has started coming with Angola's Esperanca’s decision to pull out of the game. Biggie had called Esperanca into the Diary Room and asked her what was on her mind.
Esperanca didn't hesitate to mention that she had made up her mind on this decision and had even discussed it with the Head of House, Keitta. However, Biggie gave Esperanca 24 hours to rethink her decision and suggested that she gets the other Housemates' views on her decision.

Though hesitant, Esperanca agreed to Biggie's time frame but said she preferred to discuss the matter with a select few Housemates that she trusts. As she left the Diary Room, Esperanca looked a tad worried and went straight to Tswana sisters, Edith and Eve.
Meanwhile it appears that  Barbz and Prezzo have buried the hatchet though some believe that they are only being civil having their eyes on the prize money.
Since the beginning of the week, Prezzo and Barbz haven’t been seeing eye to eye especially after he started calling her names. Prezzo has been telling anyone who cares to listen about how ‘fake’ Barbz is and how she just wants the Upville girls to worship her.
However, it seems as though the two have realized that for the sake of peace, they will have to get along.
In the evening, Prezzo was seen helping Barbz with the condiments for the surprise barbecue that Biggie threw for them.
Prezzo and Barbz followed each other from the House to the garden and back and he even went to the extent of chilling in the kitchen while she marinated the meat. Barbz also fired a joke or two about Prezzo having a wife in the House and he politely reminded her that his wife was in Kenya with a smile.Stay with ultimate update to get recent updates of the Big Brother Africa Star Game.

Big Brother Africa 2012: Two different Houses Have Been Revealed

Big Brother Africaseason 7 has started, and promises to bring exciting new developments. If you watched last night’s launch, you will know why this season is different to the previous ones. This year’s show is called Big Brother StarGame due to the fact that seven of the Housemates are celebrities, and the other 28 (who are paired in couples) need to become celebrities. In order for this to be achieved, two houses will be featured-One house for the celebrities and the other for the ‘wannabes.’ The celebrities will live in the house called “Upville” and the wannabes will live in “Downville.” The house names speak for themselves, as Upville is a little more comfy than Downville. The aim of the game is for the Housemates of Downville to do all they can in order to be accepted into Upville. Once accepted the successful Housemate will also be considered a celebrity and join the others.

The inside of Downville is inspired by 1950s America. The kitchen and living room look like the inside of a roadhouse/diner/truck-stop. There’s black and white flooring, long couches, a jukebox, a high silver counter and other 1950s elements. This kitchen and living room make you feel like you’re in a small town in the south, with the women wearing big colourful dresses and drinking milkshakes, and the men with their hair combed back. Think of Elvis Presley and Grease. The two bedrooms include bright colours and different patterns. There is the choice of sleeping in a normal bed or a bunk bed. While the bedrooms are quite small, the kitchen and living room provide a nice, big space. The 1950s southern American feel has definitely been created in most of the house. All that’s missing is a bit of tumbleweed.

Big Brother Africa's House

The inside of Upville is also inspired by 1950s America, except it has a very classy and elegant feel to it. Golden-framed mirrors, sleek suede couches, chandeliers and delicate details grace this sophisticated VIP house. The bedrooms are a little bigger than Downville's, and there are a couple of double beds, which will probably start fights amongst the divas. The two houses’ gardens are also different. Upville’s garden is very neat and clean-cut, creating a serene atmosphere, while Downville’s garden is a bit rougher.

While Upville and Downville are quite opposite in terms of comfort and appearance, they are both equally beautiful in their own way.

Commenting on the series, M-Net Africa MD Biola Alabi is pleased with the response it is getting.

“It’s super to see the high level of interaction StarGame is getting from fans, media and viewers. The guessing around who the housemates will be; people trying to work out what Biggie is planning; the rumors and the speculation; it all adds to the excitement. It’s great for the show to get this type of support from the Big Brother community who really do engage with it, even before it starts on air. I want to thank them and promise that we’re working hard to deliver a great series.”
Big Brother StarGame is headline sponsored by Coca-Cola and produced for M-Net’s AfricaMagic by Endemol South Africa.
