Miss Nepal Earth 2013 Rojisha heads for Philippines for Miss Earth 2013

Rojisha Shahi The first runner of Miss Nepal 2013 is all ready to compete in the international Beauty Pageant  Miss Earth 2013. Rojisha shahi left for Philippines in November 14 2013 to take part in the contest.The event is scheduled to be held from November 17 to December 7 in the Philippines as per the press release published by the Miss Nepal Organizer Hidden Treasure.

 After Miss Nepal World Miss Ishani gained some acclaimed after being in Top ten of the Miss World 2013 and also by winning the Title Beauty with Purpose at the Miss world Pageant that was held in Indonesia. Rojisha will also be following the same path and hopefully will bring another title for Nepal.

Miss World 2013 : Miss Nepal Ishani Shrestha 2013 makes it to top 10

Miss Nepal 2013, Ishani Shrestha, has qualified for the final round of Miss World 2013 being held in Indonesia. The Nepali beauty queen has been nominated as one of the top 15 contestants in the 63rd edition of the Miss World pageant. Altogether 130 contestants representing their respective countries had participated in the world’s top most beauty pageant show.

Later  Miss Nepal 2013, Ishani Shrestha, has reached at the top ten in the Miss World 2013, being held in the Indonesian Capital, Bali on Saturday but she wasn't able to make it to top 5.

Ishani performed a cultural dance on the finale this evening. The finale is currently underway. The grand finale of the Miss World 2013 started this evening. Ishani had won the ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ sub title while also bagging the 3rd place in the ‘Multimedia’ round on Friday.

 Her ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ video captures her project ‘Project Smile’, for which she visited Kudari Village in Jumla district and spent three days with the locals teaching them about oral hygiene and the importance of brushing their teeth. In the project she has worked with the local Aama Samuha, because as she says in the video, “If you teach a mother, the mother will teach her entire family.”

Miss World 2013:Miss World gets rid of swimwear round this year

Contestants at this year's Miss World beauty pageant will not wear bikinis in the parade in a bid to avoid causing offence in Muslim-majority Indonesia, organisers confirmed on Wednesday.
The 137 women taking part in the September contest will swap bikinis for more conservative attire, such as traditional sarongs, for the beach fashion section.The contest is being held on the resort island of Bali, where foreign tourists flock in their millions and the beaches are packed with women sunbathing in skimpy swimwear.

But Miss World Organisation chairwoman Julia Morley insisted that none of the pageant's contestants would wear a bikini."I don't want to upset or get anyone in a situation where we are being disrespectful," she told AFP from London.
"We treasure respect for all the countries that take part in the pageant," she said, adding the final outfits had not yet been finalised.
Organisers are treading carefully after a number of music acts to recently visit Indonesia provoked controversy due to performers' outfits.

Last year pop sensation Lady Gaga was forced to cancel her concert in Indonesia after Muslim hardliners threatened to burn down the venue.
Singer Beyonce and band The Pussycat Dolls were also asked to cover up before performing in the world's most populous Muslim-majority nation.

The upcoming Miss World pageant, to be held in Bali and Bogor just outside Jakarta, has already stirred anger with the country's top Muslim clerical body, the Indonesian Ulema Council, which has called for its cancellation.

Council cleric Muhyidin Djunaedi accused the event of "promoting hedonism, materialism and consumerism", and said contestants were not positive role models for Muslim youth.

However, organisers insisted that the decision to axe bikinis was taken when the agreement was first struck to hold the event in Indonesia and that they had not changed their plans following complaints.



"We discussed the beach fashion issue last year with Miss World in London before we even agreed to host the event because we knew this would be sensitive in Indonesia," said Nana Putra from media group MNC, the official broadcaster and local organiser.

Miss Nepal 2013: Final contestants of Miss Nepal 2013 revealed

As there is less than a month to kick off the final of Miss Nepal 2013  The journey to search for the next beauty queen is on full-swing! The 18th Miss Nepal beauty pageant will take place on March 17, 2013 at Hotel Annapurna in Durbar Marg. As the pageant has been sponsored by Fanta this year, the winner will automatically be the brand ambassador for the soft-drink. Miss Nepal 2013 to be held on Chaitra 2 , March 15 2013

Hidden Treasures Fanta Miss Nepal 2013, the 18th Miss Nepal beauty pageant, is going to be held on March 15, 2013 at the Hotel Del Annapurna in Kathmandu. Miss Nepal 2012 Shristi Shrestha will crown her successor as Miss Nepal World 2013, who will represent Nepal at Miss World 2013 with two other winners who will be sent to Miss Earth 2013 and Miss International 2013. 

According to the press conference the winner of Miss Nepal 2013 will be selected as the brand ambassador of drink, Fanta; WWF Nepal for a year and win Rs 50,000. The auditions of Miss Nepal will be held in various cities including Pokhara, Butwal, Biratnagar, Narayangad and Kathmandu resulting with top 20 chosen finalists from different cities.

The 20 shortlisted young women aged 19 years and above competed for the main title and the pageant was live telecast on NTV.

Further, it has informed that deadline of form submission has been fixed for Magh 18. Form can be collected from the office of Bottlers Nepal at Kupondole or can be downloaded from its official site missnepal.com.np. Interested candidates have to submit form with personal biodata within the deadline. Candidates will be shortlisted and training on various subject matters will be provided to the shortlisted candidates only.

Miss Nepal 2012 to be announced on May 6 ( Know the Participants )

May 6 is the day when Miss Nepal 2012 will be announced. But the 17 contestants who are competing for the title of Pashupati Paints Luxuria The Hidden Treasure Miss Nepal 2012 have somewhat reserved their places in another round of grand finale with their performance at pre-judging round held on May 1 at Hotel de l’Annapurna, Durbar Marg. 

It is one of the important rounds for the contestants as “overall beauty is evaluated in this round” as shared by Girendra Man Rajbansi, one of the directors of The Hidden Treasure.

Pre-judging is also important because it has more than 50 per cent say on who are going be in Top 10 at the grand finale of the pageant.

“It would be unfair to just judge them on stage. They should be judged in every aspect and up close, which is what pre-judging does,” Rajbansi said on the importance of pre-judging round.

The contestants had a tough day as each of them faced 11 judges in the pre-judging round. They faced judges like Miss Nepal 2010 Sadikshya Shrestha, Programme Co-ordinator of Growing Holistic Approaches For Rehabilitation Amrita Gyawali, actress Richa Sharma to name a few. And they were marked on the basis of their confidence, personality, expression, and intelligence, among others.They have been groomed with different expert in different field and the stage is all set to choose the Miss Nepal 2012 and representative from Nepal to perform in Miss world.
