Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's daughter's name is North West but she will be called Nori for short

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have named their baby daughter North West.Sources close to the couple confirmed the decision, which comes five days after Kim welcomed her first child at a hospital in Los Angeles. The revelation ends the intense speculation over the child's name, with other rumoured options said to include Kaidence Donda, in honour of Kanye's late mother.

And a  source told UsWeekly that the couple have already given their daughter a nickname - she will be 'Nori for short'. They added that the child has no middle name.

TMZ witnessed a signed birth certificate with the name North West signed by Kim, 32, and Kanye, 36, at Cedars-Sinai hospital. People magazine confirmed the news with a source close to the Kardashian family.

The name North had previously been suggested as a possibility for the child, although many Kardashian fans had dismissed the idea as a joke.

 And the revelation certainly proved fruitful amongst Twitter users, as North West began trending within minutes. 

It also sparked a slew of jokes from would-be comedians amused by the choice. Back in March, Kim denied rumours that Kanye wanted to name the baby North.

‘I do like Easton, Easton West,’ she joked on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno at the time. Indeed prior to the baby's birth on Saturday it had been expected that the pair would continue the 'K' theme that runs in Kim's family - which is something that Kim has spoken about in the past.

Kim Kardashian gave birth to a baby girl

 Kim Kardashian gave birth to her first child on Saturday - a month ahead of her due date. 

Mail Online exclusively revealed that the 32-year-old had been admitted to hospital in Beverly Hills on Friday.

The reality star had taken out a birthing suite at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center - a hospital of choice among many celebrities including Britney Spears, Victoria Beckham and Jessica Simpson.Hours later - around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday - she gave birth to her baby girl. Her partner, rapper Kanye West, and mother Kris Jenner were reportedly at her side.

TMZ cited sources that she had a natural birth after having contractions late Friday evening.

Kim had planned to have a C-section but after suffering an infection had decided to take the precaution of going to the hospital a few weeks early, according to X17Online. Her due date was reportedly July 11 - the same day as Kate Middleton.

Both mother and baby are in good health and resting, but given the early birthday, the littlest Kardashian has been placed in an incubator.No further details have been released and the couple have not given any hint at what they will name their daughter.

The couple announced the pregnancy in December. Kardashian has been married twice before - to musician Damon Thomas in her 20s and most recently to basketball player Kris Humphries.

On Friday night West skipped out on a listening party for his latest album in Los Angeles, prompting speculation the baby was on its way. 

Several of Kim's close friends, including Scott Disick and Jonathan Cheban both attended the party.

Sources close to the couple later confirmed to Mail Online that she had been hospitalized.

It's been a stressful week for the pair as rumours circulated that he cheated on her with a Canadian model after they met at one of his shows, though spokespeople for both Kim and Kanye vigorously deny the claims.

The 36-year-old rapper, who celebrated his birthday on June 8, was last spotted at the Yeezus listening party in Switzerland Tuesday.

He's been heavily active in promoting his new album, due out on Tuesday, and fans wondered whether he was referring to his post-Kardashian lifestyle in the lyrics to his track, New Slave.

West raps: 'I’ll move my family out the country/So you can’t see where I stay/So go and grab the reporters/So I can smash his recorders.'

Asked for this thoughts on parenthood, he said: 'One of the things was just to be protective, that I would do anything to protect my child or my child's mother... [But I haven't fully developed those thoughts yet.'

He continued: 'Well, I just don't want to talk to America about my family.  Like, this is my baby. This isn't America's Baby.'

Deputy Examination Controller Prahlad Aryal said that, marks obtained by the examinees have been entered in the system, which is being proofreading. “ We need to recheck the entered marks at least twice”, he said, adding that the verification process will complete in a couple of days. The OCE is preparing to provide 5 marks as grace for a maximum of two subjects.

The OCE had already published the notice that, this year they wont publish the SLC result in any newspapers citing budget constraints. But students can view their results by SMS or by various websites. Once the results are published by OCE, Sanothimi type slc<space><symbol no.> and send SMS to 5001 to get your results. Example: slc 234578 and SMS to 5001.

A total of 547,165 students sat the 79th iteration of the SLC exams held on March 13-24 earlier this year. Of them, 4,30,097 are regular and 117,068 are exempted students.

Justin Bieber faints on stage, rushed to hospital

Justin Bieber was rushed to the hospital on Thursday after suffering breathing difficulties on stage at London’s O2 Arena.
 
He is recovering after fainting backstage at a concert in London.

A spokeswoman for Bieber said late Thursday that the 19-year-old pop star was given oxygen and took a 20-minute reprieve after fainting backstage at London's O2 Arena.

Bieber posted a shirtless photo of himself in a hospital bed late Thursday with the caption: "Gettin better listening to Janis Joplin." Before that on Twitter he thanked "everyone pulling me thru tonight."

"Best fans in the world," he wrote. "Figuring out what happened. Thanks for the love."

Jazz Chappell, a 20-year-old concertgoer who brought her younger sister and her friend to the show, said Bieber announced he couldn't breathe and needed water. He resumed performing, but then had to be helped offstage by a backup dancer. In the nearly 30 minutes he was offstage, some fans started to leave. Once his manager announced what had happened, Chappell said many fans in the audience were gasping and crying, while others kept cheering for him to return.

"I thought, 'Give the guy a break. He just fainted. He's not a performing horse. Let him rest a second,'" said Chappell.

In a video of the concert posted online, Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, appeared onstage and told the crowd that the singer was feeling "very low of breath" but would come back to finish the show.

In another video posted online that claims it is from Thursday's show, Bieber appears out of breath during a performance of his uptempo hit, "Beauty and a Beat." He begins to fade as he is dancing and puts his hand on his forehead and bends over to catch his breath.

Chappell said Bieber, who's in London to perform four concerts at the O2, later returned and performed low-energy renditions of his hits "Boyfriend" and "Baby."

Braun later tweeted "everyone please give him a little space and he will be ok. Im sure he appreciates the support ... Tough kid proud night once again he always finishes the show. Full out. True pro..."

The incident caps a difficult week for Bieber. He was forced to apologize to outraged fans who accused him of taking the stage almost two hours late for his first concert at the O2 on Monday. He insisted he was only 40 minutes late and blamed "technical issues." He took to Twitter to vent his frustrations with the media's portrayal of the incident.

Bieber's Friday night concert at the O2 remained scheduled as of early Friday morning.

‘Da Vinci Code’ Author Dan Brown To Reveal Title to New Novel

Dan Brown’s publisher said Monday morning that it will publish the thriller writer’s next novel on May 14, but coyly declined to immediately release the title of the book.

Mr. Brown is the author of 2003’s “The Da Vinci Code” and other best-selling novels. On his Web site, he writes that he is currently working on the film version of his most recent book, “The Lost Symbol.” The new work will again feature Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon and is set in Europe, where he focuses on what Random House’s Doubleday described as “one of history’s most enduring and mysterious literary masterpieces.”

Doubleday said the title will be revealed “later today via reader social media posts.”

In an interview with this newspaper in 2009 in which he discussed his fact-checking process for his fifth novel, “The Lost Symbol,” Mr. Brown said, “ The research is multi-layered. I’ll go to a place that I want to write about as often as three times to make sure that the descriptions are exactly right. You can’t always know from one or two visits which detail you are going to want to include. And I’ll talk to the building’s historian or specialist to make sure that what I’ve got is correct. Nobody reads the manuscript before it goes to the publisher. But my publisher has fact checkers, and you go through a very high level of scrutiny. That said, I’m weaving facts into a story of fiction.”

Sunmeet Kaur Sawhney won Rs.5 crore `KBC 6`

Sunmeet Kaur Sawhney, a Punjabi woman, has emerged as the winner of Rs.5 crore on TV game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 6’ (KBC). Sawhney, a home tutor and a resident of Mumbai, couldn`t believe she had cracked the jackpot, until the show`s host, megastar Amitabh Bachchan hugged her. "I couldn`t believe that I won! Mr. Bachchan had to come and hug me for me to believe that I have won Rs.5 crore. My husband also had to come and tell me so," she told IANS.

 Married to a small-time actor who has done some side roles in Hindi films, Sawhney has two daughters. "We have rented a place in Mumbai and have been staying here since a few years," she said.In the last season of KBC, Bihar-based Sushil Kumar had won the mega-prize of Rs.5 crore.

Legendary musician, Pandit Ravi Shankar passed in San Diego on Tuesday. He was 92. The musician was admitted to the Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, California last Thursday after he complained of breathing difficulties.

 

He breathed his last at 4.30 p.m. The sitar exponent, perhaps could be called India`s musical ambassador and was responsible for making Indian classical music popular in the West. He had collaborated with several international artists including George Harrison of ‘The Beatles’ which had garnered him fame and adulation all over the world. 

Last week, the maestro had wished to speak to superstar Amitabh Bachchan.

Bollywood Actress Manisha Koirala diagnosed with cancer?

Nepal based Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala has reportedly been diagnosed with cancer. She is warded at the Jaslok Hospital in Mumbai for check-ups. "She was hospitalized yesterday (Wednesday). She is undergoing a few check-ups. She is doing fine," a hospital source told IANS. She will be discharged when her medical reports are out.
