PSY’s ‘Gangnam Style’ Tops Justin Bieber ‘Baby’ For Biggest YouTube Video Ever

Step aside, Justin Bieber: There’s a new YouTube King. South Korean sensation PSY’s “Gangnam Style” has become the platform’s most-watched video of all time, passing Bieber’s 2010 upload “Baby” early on Saturday.
At least for the moment.

As of this writing, the infectious dance clip has 805,055,375 official views on YouTube, while Bieber’s “Baby” is at 803,847,584 official views.Perhaps most remarkable is that PSY achieved the feat in just four months, with “Gangnam Style” released on July 15.

“#Gangnam Style just became the most watched video @YouTube!! #History,” tweeted PSY when he set the record.The video has already set YouTube’s record for “Most Liked” video, with a staggering 5.3 million positive votes against just 323,000 “dislikes.”

Rajasmita wins Dance Reality show 'Dance India Dance 3'

The search for India's best dancer finally came to an end when 21-year-old Rajasmita Kar was declared the winner at the grand finale of third season of Zee TV's dance reality show "Dance India Dance" here Saturday night.

The Odisha girl beat Pradeep Gurung, 24, from Assam, Raghav Juyal, 20, from Dehradun, Sanam Johar, 20, of Delhi and Mohena Singh, 23, from Madhya Pradesh's Rewa to walk away with the winner's trophy and Maruti Ertiga car. The show had started off with 18 contestants.However, Mohena got a cash prize of Rs.3 lakh for the best desired performance of the season.

The finale was hosted by Saumya Tandon and Jay Bhanushali, who opened the show with their dance performances. Judges and mentors Geeta Kapoor, Remo D'Souza and Terence Lewis also created magic with their spectacular acts, while grand master Mithun Chakraborty was seen applauding the performances.Actor Anil Kapoor came to promote his forthcoming release "Tezz" and support the finalists.

The winners of first two seasons of the show were Salman Khan, from Bangalore and Shakti Mohan , from Mumbai.

Terence Lewis sets Guinness world record again by group dance of 4500 people

It was a crowd of almost 4,500 people, who gathered here, danced together to the tunes of Salman Khan's song "Dhinka chika" and broke the Guinness World Record for the largest Bollywood dance.Choreographed by "Dance India Dance" (DID) mentor Terence Lewis, the three-minute song saw the huge crowd matching steps and creating history at KJ Somaiya College Grounds Thursday. Choreographer Remo D'Souza, who is one of the mentors on DID, was also present to cheer the crowd.

The previous record was 1,336 participants, set by Terence in Mumbai in 2011. This year it turned out to be three times more with 4,428 participants setting the record. And Terence is beaming with joy to have broken his own record.

"This has been one of the happiest moments of my life. I feel like dancing. I did it again," he said.

"This time the record is 4,428 and as 'DID' is becoming bigger and bigger we would want the entire country to dance on it," Terence added.

The choreographer said "Dhinka chika" was an obvious choice, as it connected with the masses.

"The last four films of Salman has been a huge hit and the reason behind this is he has reached the lowest common denominator. He has reached the masses. It's the beautiful way of reaching the masses. It was an obvious choice to reach the masses because I totally believe in the philosophy of ABCD (Any Body Can Dance)," Terence told IANS.

Colors acquires 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa' from Sony, signs Madhuri as Judge

Popular dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa", which aired on entertainment channel Sony since 2006, has now been acquired by Colors, which has already signed up dancing diva Madhuri Dixit as one of the judges for the upcoming season of the celebrity-based show. The show, inspired by international show "Dancing With The Stars", saw Madhuri on the judges' panel in its fourth season too. But that time, she was busy travelling between Indiaand the US, where her family - her husband, and two kids - was then settled

The actress has now shifted base back to India, and is expected to be more relaxed on the sets as she doesn't have to think of travelling far away after every shooting schedule, said a source.

The upcoming season on Colors will get a 'colourful' makeover too, and the channel hopes to give it a metamorphosis in terms of style and look.

"Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa" has so far gone through four seasons. It features celebrities and well-known faces, who train with professional dance partners and perform various styles of dancing. The judges panel usually consists of three, but the other two judges are yet to be formally announced.
