One Direction Announced Where We are Tour 2014 With Football Kits

Boy band One Direction just announced they were going to embark on a world tour and what better way to kick it off than slipping into an array of different football strips. The group revealed details of the mammoth Where We Are Tour 2014 at a press conference at Wembley Stadium in north London.

And just after they caused screaming all over the globe, the boys tried on different football strips - just to make sure each fan, whatever the country - to get a glimpse of them in their national team's colours. First up was England of course, with Niall Horan opting for his own country's Irish strip. Each strip represented a nation where the boys will perform on their upcoming tours.
The group, who shot to fame on the X Factor, have become a global phenomenon since their debut single in 2011 and have sold more than 30 million records and DVDs globally and topped the charts in more than 37 countries.

The stadium tour in 2014 will include five UK and Ireland dates and eight in Latin America, according to the One Direction website. The band will play Sunderland's Stadium of Light on April 28, Manchester City's Etihad stadium on April 31, Edinburgh's Murrayfield stadium on June 3 and on June 7 they will perform at Wembley. They will play Dublin's Croke Park on April 25.

The Latin American leg of the tour in April and May will see them visit Brazil (two concerts), Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Paraguay, Chile and Uruguay. The website said more dates would be added soon. One Direction shot to fame after coming third in the 2010 series of the X Factor, where they lost out to singer-songwriter Matt Cardle. But the five-piece have gone on to eclipse the eventual winner, enjoying a string of top 10 singles, recording two hit albums and are now about to release their first film, 1D3D.

The band - who said they are all big football fans - stressed that further shows on the world tour would be announced at a later date. Horan said: 'We're incredibly excited to announce we're doing a worldwide stadium tour in 2014.
'We're three years into it (being a band), so stepping out to an audience of 65,000 a night is incredible.'

The announcement comes in the middle of the band's current tour, which will see them play in Switzerland tonight and Germany tomorrow.
Asked about what fans - known as Directioners - can expect next year, Styles said: 'It's important that the fans know it's not the same tour going around again in stadiums.

'We want to make the stage bigger, with new songs. It's going to be a completely different tour and a lot of fun.'
Fellow band members Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson were also present for the announcement today, visibly excited about the prospect of playing in some of the world's greatest stadiums.

The band also confirmed plans for a new album, following last year's Take Me Home, to be released later this year.
'One Direction is arguably the biggest boy band ever and fans from around the world will be desperate to get their hands on a ticket to see the boys perform live.'

Deep Purple explains Nepal Concert Cancellation.

Deep Purple have explained the reason behind cancelling their appearance in Nepal planned for March 15. The band say they were keen to keep the date, but felt forced to call it off after the promoter breached their contract, leaving them “truly miserable.”
A statement explains: “The agreed fee was not paid as per the contract they had with the promoter of the show, Richard Coram, of Talent Brokers in Dubai.

“Despite several assurances, Talent Brokers failed to deposit the fee into its registered escrow account, even though the band’s management allowed extra time for payment to be made.
“Deep Purple are deeply concerned that fans may feel that the band have let them down, and that those who bought tickets may not have been refunded. The band wish to make it abundantly clear they were ready, willing and able to come to Nepal. Nevertheless, in view of Talent Brokers’ failure to comply with its payment obligations under the contract, the band had had no alternative but to withdraw from the performance.”
Frontman Ian Gillan explains: “I hate it when this sort of thing happens – the first time ever in Nepal and it gets cancelled.
“I want to assure everyone that our management and agency bent over backwards to make this work. But every promise from the promoter was broken. Things dragged on to the last minute and then went past the deadline for our equipment to be delivered.
“Deep Purple will go through hurricanes, earthquakes, riots, and all kinds of hazards just to get there and do the show – but you do need competent connections to be able to achieve this. “We are truly miserable that we couldn’t get there and would love to come over at the first opportunity.”
Purple will release new studio album Now What?! on April 29.

Deep Purple postpones Nepal tour to April 26

Legendary Rock Band Deep Purple who were supposed to perform a big concert this Friday (March 15) here in Kathmandu, has postponed the concert to April 26. Citing the ongoing political condition and frequently organizing strikes, the event manager ODC entertainment informed media of the delay. Bollywood sensation Farhan Akhtar was also supposed to perform during the event which is also deferred for now.
Having bought the ticket just two days before, I am very much disappointed with this postponement as I have been waiting so desperately to have a catch of their rocking performance in my own city.

As I am uncertain of my presence in Kathmandu on April 26 (which is more than one month from now) due to office work, I feel like I won't be able to attend the concert. Now I just hope they wont cancel the concert though I may not be there, as it will have adverse effect on future concerts to be held here and the organizers will be discouraged to organize such big concert here.
According to some media, it is known that the ODC entertainment are just taking advantage of the ongoing strikes and postponed the concert due to least no.of ticket sales. Lets see how they are going to bring the reason behind the concert in a press meet to be organized later today. And let us know what if we want to get our money back if I am not able to be here in that time.
