Looking to up the ante and consequently the drama on the show, Bigg Boss, reportedly will house Balika Vadhu actress Pratyusha Banerjee's ex - Makrand Malhotra.The famous 'bahu' broke up with businessman-boyfriend Makrand after filing a police report about his alleged abusive behaviour. Since Bigg Boss loves to stir up dirt from the past, and putting people on edge, Makrand has earned his ticket in to the house.

This, after she fought with Ratan in last night's episode who made a jab at her failed two-year relationship with Makrand.

Bigg Boss may be predictable in that he always has a trick up the ol' sleeve, but he was never one to repeat them. But this time he did just that. Season 4. Trick. Season 7. Repeat. Case in point: Sara Khan and Ali Merchant. While the 'Ram Milaayi Jodi' actress was in the house from the start, Ali followed soon. The live-in couple who was roped in for more drama, shocked viewers when they decided to get married in the Bigg Boss house. It didn't last, and eventually things turned bitter with Ali going as far as claiming he 'married only for publicity'.

We can't help but wonder, is Bigg Boss - the perennial meddler - hoping for a similar turn of events? Markrand reportedly threw a big party to celebrate his break up with Pratyusha. So, now there's no way in hell (the Bigg Boss version included) that she's going to be happy to learn of this itty bitty news.

Big Brother 2013 launches tonight! 9PM, Channel 5 with Emma Willis! Our summer is officially over, as Big Brother 2013 prepares to launch tonight on Channel 5! This evening the first Big Brother 2013 housemates will be revealed as Emma Willis takes over from Brian Dowling on the show.
The show starts from 9PM on Channel 5 and Emma’s bricking it.“I’m completely terrified,” she confessed. “Davina was my first real idol and the best presenter on the telly when she did Big Brother.

Miss USA 2013, the 62nd Miss USA pageant, will be held on June 16, 2013 at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The winner will represent the United States at Miss Universe 2013. The outgoing titleholder of Miss USA 2012, Nana Meriwether of Maryland, will crown her successor at the end of the event. The 50 states and the District of Columbia will compete for the prestigious title and the pageant will be televised live on NBC and webcast on Xbox Live, which will be available in Canada, Europe and the United States.
Viewers can interact with the pageant via Twitter, Xbox SmartGlass and Zeebox. The winner of 'Bigg Boss 6' will be declared on the grand finale of the show which will be aired on Saturday, January 12. It is less than six hours to begin the finale of the most controversial and watched reality show in history of Indian television. The four finalists of Bigg Boss season 6 are Niketan Madhok, Urvashi Dholakia, Sana Khan and Imam Siddique.

Niketan Madhok: The most popular and constant contestant of the Bigg Boss house is Niketan Madhok. A model who has walked the ramp for famous Indian and International labels came into limelight after Lakme India Fashion Week 2002. Niketan has become the 1st finalist of this season after winning the maze in merely 17 seconds. Not only this, Numerologist Bhavikk Sanghvi, who had predicted that Juhi Parmar will win Bigg Boss 5, has now predicted that Niketan will win this season. Sanjay Jumani has also predicted that Niketan has the highest winning chances.

Urvashi Dholakia: Another strong contestant of the show is Urvashi Dholakia. The actress best known for playing the villainous character, Komolika, is extremely on the face with everyone around due to which she has made enemies with many. Music lovers from across the world will be in for a treat as the Grand Finale of the Indo-Pak Musical Extravaganza – Sur-Kshetra reaches its epic climax on on Friday. The show which entertained and united music lovers from across the border for 15 weeks has brought together outstanding .singing talent and legends from the music industry on one stage.

The grand finale will see incredible performances from the finalists – Diljaan, Yash Raj, Nabeel and Mulazim. Mentors Himesh Reshammiya and Atif Aslam who were often at logger heads and aggressively driving their teams will also flex their musical strengths for the finale. Himesh Reshammiya sang a medley of 24 chartbuster songs including his latest sensation Hukka Bar while his counterpart from Pakistan - Atif Aslam charmed the audience with his unique vocal belting style on Pehli Nazar Ne.

Judging the musical flair of the contestants were popular celebrities from the Indian and Pakistani world of music like Ismail Darbar, Suresh Wadkar, Ghulam Ali, and Sajjad Ali along with the esteemed jury – the three legends – Asha Bhosle, Abida Parveen and Runa Laila. Host Ayesha Takia was seen keeping the spirit of the contestants high as the competition got fierce with a final face-off over a medley of songs between the contestants. The grand finale will also see a special performance from the ex-contestants showcasing the great talent line up that Sur Kshetra introduced.

Runa Laila took to the stage and enchanted the crowds with her soulful voice in O Mera Babu Chhen Chabila. Speaking on his experience on Sur Kshetra, Himesh Reshammiya, mentor of the Indian team, said, “I know that I have been labelled aggressive in the show but the intent for my aggression was only for the betterment of the participants. I believe anything done for a good cause is justified.” When asked if his aggression put a lot of pressure on the participants Himesh replied, “ At such a large stage there is bound to be pressure, but I believe that there is a lot more pressure on the jury than on the contestants as now it is upto the jury to decide who is the most deserving winner. I wish the jury as well as the contestants all the best”

His counterpart from Pakistan, Atif Aslam said, “It makes me very happy when I hear that I am as aggressive as Himesh is, I take it as a compliment. After being a part of the show I now realize the reason behind Himesh’s aggression; I understand that it is his sincerity and the effort that he takes for the show which makes him aggressive. Although I have had a lot of fights in the show I still believe I am the laadla on the sets.” When quizzed about his favourite contestant Atif said, “Reaching the grand finale is a huge achievement in its own right; according to me all four of them are winners.”

Talking on her experience of judging the show Abida Parveen said, “I have been a celebrity judge on numerous occasions in the past but this was the first time I shouldered the responsibility of judging the entire series. The highlight of the show for me was Aasha, Runa and I sharing the same stage. The most difficult part for us has been to decide which contestant to give a 0 or 10 as the talent was so competitive. I hope we have done justice to our job of finding the best among the bests.”

Bangladeshi singing sensation Runa Laila adds, “My experience of working for Sur Kshetra was great and I enjoyed every minute of it. For me the highlight was observing the contestants while they were off air. The way they gelled with each other, shared tips and jokes made their coming from different nations irrelevant.”

Last but not the least actor-anchor Ayesha Takia who kept the spirit of the show alive by always encouraging the contestants said,” I am so emotionally attached to the contestants that I think got more nervous than them before every episode. The show has helped me portray myself, the real me, in the best way possible.”

Whitney Houston’s private funeral to be streamed live

WhitneyHouston's fans will be able to witness the late singer'sfuneral as it will be streamed live on the internet.

Although it is said to be a private affair, the public wishing to pay their respects to Houston will be able to do so online, as she is laid to rest.

"Her publicist has chosen one person who will be allowed into the sanctuary and who will be streaming [video] to you all," News. com. au quoted Carolyn Whigham, whose Newark funeralhome is handling preparations for Houston's service as saying.

Whigham also said that jumbo screens would be set up outside the New Hope Baptist Church in Houston's hometown - contradicting earlier police advice.

The screens would let fans of the singer to watch the ceremony.

However, Newark police chief Samuel DeMaio told The Star-Ledger that there would be nofuneral procession and no public screens set up, at the request of Houston's family.

The ceremony, due to begin at noon local time Saturday, is by invitation only.

The funeral will be held at Newark, N.J.'s New Hope Baptist Church, where Houstonsang as a child. Houston's publicist, Kristen Foster, announced that the AP is being allowed one camera at the service, which will be streamed at Livestream, and will also be available to broadcasters.

There has been speculations that the R and B queen may be buried alongside her father, JohnHouston at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey, who died in 2003.

The 54th Annual Grammy Awards will be held today (February 12, 2012), at the Staples Center in Los Angeles being broadcast on CBS 8:00 p.m. ET. Nominations were announced on November 30, 2011 on prime-time television as part of "The GRAMMY Nominations Concert Live! – Countdown to Music's Biggest Night", a one-hour special broadcast live on CBS from Nokia Theatre at L.A. Live. Kanye West received the most nominations with seven. Adele, Foo Fighters and Bruno Mars each received six nominations. Lil Wayne, Skrillex and Radiohead all earned five nominations.

A total of 78 awards will be presented following the Academy's decision to restructure the Grammy Award categories. Paul McCartney received theMusiCares Person of the Year award on February 10, 2012 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, two nights prior to the Grammy telecast. LL Cool J is set to host the show. It's the first time in seven years that the music industry's premier event will have an official host.
