Television Actress Juhi Parmar wins the Bigg Boss 5

Three months of patience and fair play paid rich dividends to TV actress Juhi Parmar, who Saturday won the fifth season of the controversial reality show " Bigg Boss" and the prize money of Rs.1 crore.

The "Kumkum" fame actress, who was among the first 13 contestants to enter the house Oct 2, 2011, pipped actress Mahek Chahal and Siddharth Bhardwaj to win the show, which was described as high on fights and low on entertainment quotient by season three participant, actor-filmmaker Kamaal R. Khan.

She is the second female contestant to win the show, as Shweta Tiwari had taken away the trophy in the last season.

Juhi, 31, had earlier participated in other reality shows - "Pati Patni Aur Woh" and "Maa Exchange" and was seen indulging in lots of arguments, but in "Bigg Boss", she played the game more patiently.

Many inmates and viewers were not so happy with Juhi's friendship with her inmate Akashdeep Saigal aka Sky, who got embroiled in the ugliest fights on the show, but it didn't stop her from winning the show.

Others in the top five included Amar Upadhyay and Sky.

Juhi too had her share of arguments with contestants like Shraddha Sharma, Amar, Siddharth and Mahek, but at the same time she enjoyed a good friendship with Raageshwari Loomba,Pooja Bedi, Indo-Canadian porn star Sunny Leone as well as Sky.

What made her stand out was her patience and quality of lending everybody a patient ear in the "Bigg Boss 5", which was co-hosted by Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan.

The finale was graced by actor Imran Khan and filmmaker Karan Johar, who came to promote their forthcoming film "Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu".

Johar had expressed that he wanted Juhi to win the show, and that his mother, Hiroo Johar, a fan of the show, feels that she was the most promising contender for the winner's trophy.

The prediction came true.

Juhi was ecstatic to see her husband, TV actor Sachin Shroff, her parents and her mother-in-law upon her exit from the secluded house, where she spent 98 days without being connected with anything or anyone outside the four parapets of the house.

The finale saw several performances, including those by Sunny, Malaika Arora, Pooja Missra, Rakhi Sawant, transgender activist Laxmi Narayan Tripathi and Shonali. Even Shakti Kapoor danced with all the girls who entered "Bigg Boss 5" - bringing the show to a full circle.

Malaika added spice to the finale by dancing on numbers like "Chhaiya chhaiya", "Chhammak chhallo" and "Honth raseele" while Rakhi grooved to "Chikni chameli".

Salman and Sanjay too shook a leg together, making it a treat for the audience.

"Bigg Boss 5" began with an eclectic mix of celebrities - controversial models, actresses, a wrestler, as well as a proud transgender.

The season saw former Miss Afghanistan Vida Samadzai, who was banned in the country for wearing a bikini; Nihita Biswas, wife of "Bikini Killer" Charles Sobhraj, VJ Pooja Missra, actress Pooja Bedi, model-actress Shonali, popular host Mandeep Bevli, and Rajasthani folk dancer Gulabo Sapera.

Woman wrestler Sonika Kaliraman was also seen on the show, but she left within a week of her entry as she was pregnant.

Laxmi also added drama to the season, while guest appearances were made by social activist Swami Agnivesh, Australian cricketer Andrew Symonds and sumo wrestler Yamamotoyama.

Sunny Leone is Out From Bigg Boss House !!!

Indo-Canadian porn star Sunny Leone, whose entry into the Bigg Boss house created a buzz, has become the last contestant to be ousted from the reality show this season. Sunny Leone just missed the opportunity of winning reality show 'Bigg Boss 5', as she was evicted Saturday, just a week before the show's finale.

She was nominated for eviction along with Amar Updhayay, Juhi Parmar, Mahek Chahal, Siddharth Bharadwaj and Akashdeep Saigal. But viewers chose to see her out of the house this time.

Sunny's eviction came just a week before the finale and she feels that people did not vote for her because she did notcreate much drama on the show.

"I feel sad that I couldn't make it to the final after being so close. I don't think it's because of my work that people didn't vote, but probably because I didn't create much controversy or pick up fights," Sunny told PTI over the phone from Mumbai.

The 30-year-old actress maintained a low profile in the house and said that she found good friends in fellow contestants Akashdeep Saigal (Sky) and Juhi Parmar.

"I am lucky to have made two good friends in the house. When I came in I didn't think that I will stay in touch with anybody but I will keep contact with Sky and Juhi," she said.

Talking about her experience in the house, Sunny said, "It was bitter-sweet. I made two good friends but the fighting and arguments in the house would depress me at times. I have never seen people fighting so much. And I am happy that I kept my sanity and didn't get involved in any of the fights."

The fifth season of the show on Colors, co-hosted by Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt, started with 14 contestants locked in the house.

It is now into its final week with five members - Juhi, Akashdeep, Mahek Chahal(wild Card Entry), Amar Upadhyay and Siddharth Bhardwaj - competing for the winner's spot.

Japanese Sumo wrestler Yama to enter 'Bigg Boss 5'

After The Great Khali entertained the audiences last year in the "Bigg Boss" house, this year Japanese Sumo wrestling champion Yamamotoyama a.k.a. Yama will make a guest appearance in the reality show.

The 601-pound or 272-kg wrestler will add zing to the finale week. However, certain changes will be made in the house to accommodate the six feet four inches tall Yama.The dining area will be converted into a bedroom-cum-eating area for the wrestler so that he has enough space to do his daily chores. He will be provided with special placards with pictorial representations that will help him to communicate his needs to the housemates

The inmates of the Bigg Boss house will now have to face some heavyweight competition.The retired wrestler who was accused of match fixing in April 2011, will enter the house this weekend. 

A source from the airport informed Mumbai Mirror, "Yamamotoyama will be arriving in Mumbai today from Tokyo by a Singapore Airlines flight at 22.50 hours. Since they have a new range of aircrafts - A380, A330-300 and Boeing 777-300, which has 30 inches wide premium First Class and Business class seats, it will be easier to accommodate Yama. Other airlines couldn't accommodate his size." 

"His on ground transportation is a big concern and a range of SUVs are now being considered. The cars will have to have huge doors to enable Yama to enter the vehicle," added the source. 

When contacted the channel, the spokesperson confirmed Yama's participation and added He will first meet Sanjay Dutt on the sets. A translator will be present to help him communicate. Inside the house, the other contestants will be asked to use sign language to interact with Yama. He will also be given 8-10 placards with pictures like food, sleep, water etc."

Bigg Boss 5: Its Official Mahek Chahal re enters the house

It’s final and official that Mahek Chahal will reenter Bigg Boss 5 on a wild card. The starlet had been evicted on December 10, much to the surprise of viewers and her fellow housemate Siddharth Bhardwaj. It had been rumoured that Mahek was selected as one of the contestants on the behest of the show’s host Salman Khan and it was thanks to his support that she managed to stay in the house for as long as she did. However, after she got evicted, Mahek claimed to all and sundry that there was no favouritism going on. “It is not right to say that Salman has been favouring me. I share a very nice relationship with him but that doesn’t mean he is biased towards me,” she had claimed. With her reentry into the house, the buzz has started doing the rounds again. Maybe Salman did suggest she be chosen over the other possible – Lakshmi Tripathi and Shonali Nagrani – or maybe he did not.

UTV Motion pictures has acquired the rights to author Chetan Bhagat’s latest bestseller, Revolution 2020. Siddharth Roy Kapur, CEO, UTV Motion Pictures, says, “We have been in discussions with Chetan for a while to do something together. When he shared his latest book with us even before it was published, we read it cover to cover in a single sitting.” 

Revolution 2020 narrates the story of three central characters — Gopal, Raghav and Aarti — whose destinies are intertwined. “He has crafted a dramatic plot with such sharply defined characters, that you constantly wonder how things will play out. Revolution 2020 tells the story of childhood friends Gopal, Raghav and Aarti who struggle to find success and love in Varanasi. Mumbai, Sep 30: The "Bigg Boss 5" house is bright and nice thanks to a riot of colours - green, fuschia, yellow and more - and, due to its compact and transparent design, it is expected to spark riots among the 14 contestants participating in the Colors' reality show

"We have made the house more compact this time around, so that people are more in each other's face," Yardi told reporters

The show, to be co-hosted by actors Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan, will go on air Sunday. The official list of participants is yet to be unveiled. However, names like Nihita Biswas, the Nepali wife of alleged murderer Charles Sobhraj, actress Pooja Bedi, TV actress Parul Chauhan, and even international boxing champion Mike Tyson are expected to be on the show.

From the design of the house, one can imagine that the tolerance level of the contestants will be tested to the hilt. Since the house is smaller as compared to previous seasons of the show, it barely leaves space for any housemate for privacy.

The jail, where indisciplined contestants can be locked, makes a comeback this season, and the much-used kitchen sink has been placed in the garden area to cause more inconvenience and create fiction between the participants.

The house also has a lot of glass, due to which one can view the entire expanse -- from the entry of the house to the bedroom all in one go, including the outdoor and living section of the house.

The two separate bedrooms, in shades of green and fuchsia with a hint of white, brown and yellow, have no differentiation for the sexes. Maintaining tradition since last year, there's a special bedroom for the head-of-house, who will get some luxuries and special privileges.

The open kitchen is connected with a dining room that extends to the garden area, and the outdoor area has gained more prominence with the pool area, the activity area, the gymnasium and the kitchen sink being placed there.

The house has a common washroom, as well as a common bath for male and female contestants.
